Description

Creeper Neutrality Mod

Introduction

An innovative mod for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1 Forge, designed to completely change the hostile behavior of vanilla Creepers. With this mod, Creepers are converted from hostile mobs to neutral ones, and the mechanism of Creepers' explosions destroying blocks is removed. Players no longer have to worry about sudden Creeper blasts while mining or Creepers destroying their bases.

Game Features

  • Default Neutral Behavior: Creepers no longer actively attack players, roaming freely in the world like friendly mobs such as cows and sheep.
  • Natural Interaction: Players can safely observe and approach Creepers without unprovoked attacks.
  • Attack-Triggered: Creepers enter a hostile state only when attacked by players.
  • Intelligent Pursuit: Enraged Creepers chase attackers just like the vanilla version.

Default Settings (Enabled on Installation)

Config Item Default Value Description
Mod Status ✅ Enabled Toggle mod activation
Active Aggression ❌ Disabled Creepers do not actively attack
Enraged Explosion ✅ Enabled Creepers explode after being attacked
Duration 20 Seconds Duration of enraged state
Sneak for Provocation ❌ Disabled Any attack can enrage Creepers
Explosion Griefing ❌ Disabled Explosions do not damage terrain

System Commands (Implemented)

  • /endermanneutral status: Displays the current status of all configurations to help players track the mod's operation.
  • /endermanneutral reload: Applies configuration changes in real time without restarting the game.

System Commands (Unimplemented)

These commands can be executed in-game and will return a success message, but they do not actually modify configurations.

  • /endermanneutral set enabled true/false - Enable/disable the mod
  • /endermanneutral set aggression true/false - Enable/disable active aggression
  • /endermanneutral set explode true/false - Enable/disable enraged explosions
  • /endermanneutral set duration <seconds> - Set enraged duration (5–300 seconds)
  • /endermanneutral set sneak true/false - Enable/disable sneak requirement for provocation
  • /endermanneutral set destroy true/false - Enable/disable block destruction by explosions
