Description

Where the souls-like genre meets the fantasy RPG style.
What is the story of this dimenson you might wonder...

Beyond a door in the frozen sea lies Aurelia, a golden garden that was shut away when its Warden, La Dama Cinerea, sealed her grief under her own frost. The garden is still beautiful, and it is still full of those who never stopped keeping their oaths: a ferryman who guards the door, a knight's empty armour holding a cathedral gate, a stone titan holding a drowned citadel against the tide, a sexton counting the graves he cut himself, a huntress bound by her own law, and an astronomer who tore the sky open.
Cross the frozen threshold, kindle the shrines, and give them the rest they cannot give themselves.
Crimson Witch is an almost souls-like adventure mod: a whole new dimension, seven bosses made to be learned, a world full of places to find, and people who remember what you have done. It has been inspired by games like Elden Ring, Honkai Star Rail, Genshin Impact and The Witcher 3.
SEVEN BOSSES

Every boss has its own model, its own animations, its own arena and its own dark orchestral theme (SUBJECT TO CHANGE). Every attack has a wind-up you can learn, and most of them read what you are doing (a raised shield, a drawn bow, running away, drinking) and answer it. Bosses have poise you can break, cannot be beaten from outside their arena, and grow stronger for each extra player.
- Isvard, the Pale Vigil: the ferryman who keeps the door to Aurelia, on the ice of a frozen ocean. Three phases, seventeen moves. (Located in the Deep Frozen Ocean biome, destroy him and you shall unlock the gate that opens the portal to Aurelia)
- Hollow Aldric, Knight-Captain: an empty suit of armour that still holds the Cathedral's gate. Wait for him to commit, or split his guard with an axe.
- The Tidebound Colossus: a titan of stone with the tide inside it, kneeling in the hall of a Drowned Citadel. Fire dries it out; lightning runs through its water.
- The Crypt Keeper: the sexton at the bottom of a three-level catacomb, who puts out the room's fires one by one.
- The Scarlet Huntress: called at the Blood Altar of a ruined coliseum, and only under a Blood Moon. Bow, knife, hounds, snares and the Wild Hunt.
- La Dama Cinerea: the Warden herself, a mourner in ash and frost with a fan of ice, who breaks open into the Crimson Witch of Embers, a moth-winged witch of fire. A gauge of her element fills on you, her censers drain it, and her chrysalis of ice gives way to fire.
- Lord Aphelion, the Starless Astrarch: the final fight, on the crown of a ruined observatory. Three phases, three weapons, twenty moves and a full cinematic entrance.
AURELIA, A NEW DIMENSION
- Fourteen biomes laid out as whole countries: the golden Everbloom Glade, meadows, red petal fields, a crimson fog, a weeping mire, frozen highlands, ash barrens, misty moors, a dark wood, lakes, plains and a starlit shelf, with cliffs, rivers and old paved roads lined with waymarks that tell you where they lead.
- A sky of its own: a giant ringed planet, floating isles in pixel art, a grinning crescent moon that blinks, and world events: the Blood Moon, the Aurora, Starfall (falling stars you can loot) and the Cinderfall.
- Common enemies that see, hear and stalk you. Catch one unaware for a heavy first blow, step around its telegraphed attacks, break its poise. They wander when left alone and go home if you lead them too far.
- In the Overworld the mod adds only the Frozen Threshold, on deep frozen oceans.

This project is a BETA release. It still has some bugs that need to be fixed!
Known bugs: You spawn into the dirt WHEN you enter Aurelia, so please enable spectator or creative when you first enter the portal so you do not suffocate under dirt! (this is fixed in the upcoming version)
Music and sounds are subject to change!
Weapons / Armour will get remodeled very soon!
Shaders are NOT compatible yet!
Not tested in multiplayer, but it should work on servers!
For any known bugs, please leave a comment on the mod's page or open an issue!
