About

Description

Cruelty brings a hostile red entity into Minecraft, combining unsettling encounters, damaging events, and a terrifying skeletal monster inspired by Verity.

A red box appears nearby once per world, including existing worlds after installation. Open it to release Cruelty. In his normal form, he wanders and watches, harming players through darkness, wither, damaging pulls, and summoned enemies.

After at least ten minutes of loaded game time, Cruelty waits for a nearby player to be alone and vulnerable. Low health, low hunger, or darkness with weak armor can trigger his transformation after five continuous seconds of isolation. His towering red monster then chases and attacks, accompanied by deep growls, screams, heartbeats, and roars. The rampage lasts 45 seconds before another ten-minute waiting period begins.

Talk to Cruelty through optional Groq text chat, microphone transcription, and spoken replies. His dialogue has a distinct angry, malicious personality. All encounters, events, and combat work without an API key. Only Groq is integrated, with your own key stored locally.

Monster form can break nearby wooden doors and glass when mobGriefing is enabled. Creative and spectator players are excluded from attacks, and Peaceful disables hostile behavior.

Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.x, and Java 17. Install on both server and clients in multiplayer.

Controls: H for text chat, hold N for voice input, and J for Groq settings. Operator commands: /cruelty summon for normal form, or /cruelty monster for an immediate monster encounter.
