Crumbling Ground

Once a second, the block directly under every player's feet vanishes.

Stand still and you sink. Keep moving.

How it works

  • Every 20 ticks the pack replaces the block under each player with air.
  • The block is removed without drops.
  • It's the block the player is actually standing on: on a slab or carpet, the slab or carpet itself disappears, not the block beneath it.
  • Players in spectator mode are ignored.
  • The timer is shared: blocks vanish under all players at the same moment.

Commands

Command Effect
/schedule clear crumbling_ground:step Pauses the pack until the next /reload.
/function crumbling_ground:step Resumes the pack after a pause.

Configuration

The interval is set in data/crumbling_ground/function/step.mcfunction:

schedule function crumbling_ground:step 20t

20t = once a second, 10t = twice a second, 1t = every tick. Run /reload after editing.

Limitations

  • Bedrock is removed too: standing still long enough drops you into the void.
  • Only the single block directly under the player's position is removed. Standing on the edge of a block keeps you on the neighbouring one.
