Description
Crystal Chaos Core
Turn exploration into a timed loot hunt, then face your friends in a compact arena. Crystal Chaos Core supplies the round system, clickable dashboard, loot rules, discoveries, leaderboards and presentation behind the Crystal Chaos modpack. The core alone does not install the companion pack's 150 third-party client files or their configuration. Available equipment and structures depend on the mods installed alongside it.
Open the dashboard with Right Shift, /chaosgui, or the welcome book. Choose structure loot, random-block loot or both; browse arena previews, adjust all 13 host settings, and save custom presets. A readable review groups the chosen rules before you start. During a round, active choices are shown separately from saved next-round defaults. Singleplayer owners can manage their world with cheats off, including over LAN; dedicated-server host controls require operator level 2. No server plugins are needed.
Choose eight original battlefields: Crystal Colosseum, Ruined Crossroads, Skyshard Isles, Ember Forge, Frostkeep, Sunken Ruins, Overgrown Temple and Rift Bridges. Natural terrain and random arena selection are also available. The default radius of 40 blocks suits small groups, with sizes from 32 to 64. Explore fresh Temperate, Desert Frontier or Snowy Plains regions while the lobby stays intact. Exploration remains clear and at noon; the Night mutator changes battles only, and Rift Bridges is night-themed.
Every supported structure uses the same default gear-tier weights: Common 45%, Uncommon 25%, Rare 15%, Epic 8%, Legendary 4%, Mythic 2%, CHAOS 1%. Supply crates share those weights. Random blocks have their own more conservative odds. Quantity boosts add independent rolls without changing their rarity chances. Extra food and building materials fill spare slots in supported containers separately from gear discoveries.
Looting deaths keep your current round gear and XP so you can respawn and continue. One stone pickaxe and 16 steak arrive when looting begins. Battle deaths drop gear and lead to spectating. A personal recap and eight-second winner celebration precede the return of supported original belongings. Collections and competitive wins, credited kills and completed rounds stay saved with the world.
Rarity tooltips and glowing outlines identify visible tagged loot in supported container screens. Visuals & comfort includes motion and low first-person fire controls; fire damage is unchanged. A clickable guide welcomes new players, and /chaos guidebook supplies a missing copy. Matching clients remove round death waypoints on return while retaining manual markers.
Use Quickplay for ten minutes of exploration, or /speedround for five minutes of looting with double ordinary rolls and a battle lasting up to five minutes, plus preparation and countdowns. /chaos help lists commands; /stopround cancels a round and /chaos recover retries pending original-state recovery.
Recovery starts before terrain preparation and includes documented Curios, Palladium and Iron's Spells integrations when installed. Natural landings are checked again before transfer; unsafe ground triggers a bounded search, and players stay protected while the destination loads. If safe arrival times out, the round cancels into recovery. Full-inventory crafting returns during looting deaths wait for space. Ordinary deaths still end active casts and potion effects. Arbitrary external progression and some static or special containers remain unsupported. Reconnect recovery is supported; restarting cancels the round. Back up complete worlds before updates, as generated regions accumulate on disk.
Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge 47.4.10 · Java 17. Keep client and server versions matched. This beta is for playtesting, without a guarantee covering every item interaction or extended multiplayer session. Project cover art is an AI-generated illustration; arena previews are geometry diagrams.
