About

Description

Description

Curse Client is a mod for Minecraft 1.8.9 that puts the world into a broken, eerie, glitch-like horror atmosphere. Through HUD errors, distorted visuals, and audio anomalies, it creates a short cinematic experience. Once the story is completed, all effects are disabled and the game's settings/biome values return to normal.

Since this is a beta version, performance and behavior may still change. Feedback is highly appreciated.

Features

  • Glitch-horror atmosphere (HUD error texts, noise overlays, distorted sounds)
  • Cinematic story event featuring The581953 and The1545
  • Automatically restores the game to normal after the story ends
  • Effect intensity balanced to keep the game playable
  • Fully client-side visual and audio experience

Story Flow

  • The581953 “joins” the world after a certain time and starts sending disturbing messages
  • The1545 appears and starts a dialogue
  • They fight in front of the player (no death, only visual effects)
  • The1545 wins and The581953 gets “banned”
  • The mod disables all glitch effects and the game returns to normal

Beta Warning

  • This version is still in beta, so performance and effect intensity may change
  • Some systems may experience FPS drops
  • Adjustments will be made based on feedback

Compatibility

  • Minecraft 1.8.9
  • Forge 11.15.1.2318

Installation

  • Place the modid-1.0.jar file into the mods folder
  • Launch the game using Forge 1.8.9

Known Issues

  • Heavy effects may reduce FPS on lower-end systems
  • Since this is a beta version, some scenes may have minor timing inconsistencies
