Custom Vanilla Potions

This data pack allows you to create 100% vanilla custom brewable potions in Minecraft without any command blocks! It gives you complete control over your own effects, potion names, liquid colors, and durations.

This is the official companion download for my How to Make Custom Potions Tutorial.

Features

Custom Brewing Recipes: Easily brew custom potions (like a Potion of Haste) using unique ingredients.

Full Upgrade Support: Includes pre-configured paths for standard brewing upgrades:

Redstone – Increases potion duration

Glowstone – Upgrades the effect to Level II

Gunpowder – Turns it into a Splash Potion

Dragon's Breath – Turns it into a Lingering Potion

Pure Vanilla: Works entirely through modern JSON file structures with zero performance lag.

Installation

  1. Download the data pack folder.
  2. Drop it into your Minecraft world's datapacks folder.
  3. Open your world and type /reload to activate it!
