Custom Sounds is a client-side Fabric mod for replacing, muting, or customizing Minecraft sounds with local OGG files.

Features

  • Replace any registered Minecraft sound event with an imported OGG Vorbis file.
  • Disable selected sounds without changing global volume settings.
  • Keep selected sounds vanilla while leaving other rules configured.
  • Scale replacement volume from 0% to 400%.
  • Manage rules through a clean Mod Menu screen.
  • Store imported audio under config/customsounds/sounds.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.11
  • Fabric Loader 0.18.5+
  • Java 21+

Mod Menu is optional, but recommended for opening the configuration screen.

Client / Server

Custom Sounds is client-side only. It does not need to be installed on a server.

Some multiplayer servers restrict client-side mods. Check server rules before using it.
