Description

Damage Reducer
This mod was made by someone who understands the pain of getting one shot after hours of playing.

This mod was made for those other mods that are good for visuals, not so much for the gameplay.

Are you tired of playing for hours on end, and losing it all because one mod adds an overpowered mob that one shots you in full diamond? Damage Reducer was made to balance the playing field without trivializing hard encounters. This is by adding reducers, armor, enchants and special systems. The mod also adds dynamic GUI, high quality immersive sound effects and more.

Note:
"Damage Reduced" is a divisor-based reduction. That means instead of subtracting a flat number, the incoming damage is divided by (1 + Reduction %).
Example: 25% reduction = Incoming Damage ÷ 1.25

Note 2:

All information on how much damage you would take instead does not take in account for armor values, or the protection enchantment. It is referring to the raw damage reduction the armor/reducer provides without any extra items, or systems.

Examples for division based reduce (What the reducers use):

10% reduces 10 heart hits to 9

20% reduces 10 heart hits to 8

30% reduces 10 heart hits to 7.5

10% reduces 20 heart hits to 18

20% reduces 20 heart hits to 16.5

30% reduces 20 heart hits to 15.5

100% reduces 10 heart hits to 5

Examples for subtraction based reduce (What Minecraft uses for armor according to ChatGPT "damage = damage*(1-dmgReduce%)"):

10% reduces 10 heart hits to 9

20% reduces 10 heart hits to 8

30% reduces 10 heart hits to 7

10% reduces 20 heart hits to 18

20% reduces 20 heart hits to 16

30% reduces 20 heart hits to 14

100% reduces 10 heart hits to 0

Crafting tree:

Recharge Mechanic:

-----------------------

There is a system that is called: overclocking

You use it by consuming a powered gem

On consumption, you gain 40% more reduction on all core reducers higher than iron

However, most of the special reducers only gain 20%

After 1 minute, you lose half of your current hp

It is planned for "Synergy Ingots" and all things synergy to be part of this system so that you can continuously overclock your reducers. However, there will be a 'rust' system.

Also it will have the ability to enchant your items with empowered and armored, since you can't easily really find those enchants even when looking in ancient cities, you don't find any.

-----------

Then it is planned for 'god-tier' which will reduce all incoming damage, not just entity damage, but it will be less than the main reducers.

Maybe with a certain enchantment you can get core things from powered gem ore.
