Description
DataUI
DataUI is a declarative and reactive UI framework for Minecraft Forge 1.12.2, designed to make building dynamic, data-driven interfaces simple, safe, and highly customizable.
Instead of manually positioning and updating every element of a GUI, developers can build interfaces from reusable components and let DataUI handle layout, sizing, reactivity, rendering, animations, and overflow protection.
DataUI is particularly suited for interfaces that need to display live Minecraft or mod data such as machine statistics, energy, fluids, production, player information, inventories, server statistics, and other dynamic information.
Features
- Declarative UI — Build interfaces by describing their structure instead of manually managing every position.
- Reactive data — Automatically update UI elements when their associated data changes.
- Automatic layouts — Use Column, Row, Grid, Stack, Split and other layouts without manually calculating positions.
- Responsive design — Create interfaces that adapt to different screen sizes using flexible sizing, percentages, viewport units, and min/max constraints.
- Overflow protection — Detect and handle content overflow with configurable policies such as clipping, shrinking, scrolling, or warnings.
- Reusable components — Build and combine reusable UI components without implementing every element from scratch.
- Widgets — Buttons, sliders, progress bars, tabs, toggles, checkboxes, dropdowns, dialogs, tooltips, virtual lists, and more.
- Charts & visualizations — Display numerical and statistical data using line charts, bar charts, ring gauges, progress bars, and other visual components.
- HUD support — Create dynamic HUD elements with configurable screen anchors.
- Advanced text rendering — Designed for displaying values, statistics, labels, and large amounts of information clearly.
- Custom rendering — Support for customizable backgrounds, borders, gradients, rounded corners, shaders, and other visual effects.
- Animations — Add lightweight transitions, tweens, and animated reactive values to dynamic interfaces.
- Themes — Define reusable colors, typography, spacing, and visual styles across your UI.
- Debugging tools — Inspect layout problems, overflow, overlaps, rendering statistics, and performance through the built-in profiler and debug overlay.
- Mod-friendly API — Designed specifically to be integrated into Minecraft Forge mods and used as a foundation for custom interfaces.
Why DataUI?
DataUI focuses on making dynamic Minecraft interfaces easier to build and maintain.
The goal is not to force developers to manually calculate positions, manage every update, or rebuild common UI systems for each mod.
Instead, DataUI provides the building blocks for creating interfaces where data drives the UI and the framework handles the underlying layout, reactivity, and rendering infrastructure.
Whether you want to display:
- Machine statistics
- Energy and fluid levels
- Production information
- Player statistics
- Inventories and item data
- Server information
- Mod configuration
- Real-time numerical data
- Custom HUD elements
DataUI provides the components and systems needed to turn that data into a clean, responsive interface.
Data → Reactive State → UI Structure → Layout → Visualization
DataUI is built to make that process easier.
