Description

Daylight Mobs

Ever wondered why hostile mobs only become a threat at night?

Daylight Mobs for (Forge) removes that limitation by allowing hostile mobs to remain active during the day. Zombies no longer burn in sunlight, and hostile creatures can spawn even while the sun is shining, making survival dangerous 24 hours a day.

Whether you're building a base, exploring new terrain, or traveling long distances, daylight is no longer a guarantee of safety.

Features

  • Hostile mobs can spawn during the daytime.
  • Zombies, Skeletons, and other undead mobs no longer burn in sunlight.
  • Daytime spawning can be enabled or disabled at any time.
  • Sunlight burning prevention can be enabled or disabled independently.
  • Adjustable daytime spawn chance.
  • Configure exactly which hostile mobs are allowed to spawn during the day.
  • Full in-game configuration menu.
  • Works on both singleplayer and multiplayer servers.
  • No new blocks, items, dimensions, or mobs are added.
  • Focused entirely on enhancing vanilla survival gameplay.

In-Game Configuration

The mod includes a built-in configuration screen accessible directly from the Mods menu.

Available Settings

Activation Day

Choose the exact world day when the mod becomes active.

Examples:

  • 0 = The mod is active immediately.
  • 10 = Vanilla gameplay until Day 10.
  • 30 = A long preparation period before daytime mobs become a threat.

Once the selected day is reached, all enabled Daylight Mobs features become active.

Mobs Don't Burn

Controls whether undead mobs burn in sunlight.

Hostile Mobs Spawn

Controls whether hostile mobs are allowed to spawn during the daytime.

Spawn Chance

A value between 0.0 and 1.0 that controls the chance of hostile mobs spawning during daylight.

Examples:

  • 0.0 = No daytime spawning
  • 0.5 = Half the normal chance
  • 1.0 = Full daytime spawning

Allowed Mobs

Specify exactly which hostile mobs can spawn during the day.

Example:

minecraft:zombie,minecraft:skeleton,minecraft:creeper

This allows you to customize the difficulty and create anything from a slightly more dangerous overworld to a full daytime apocalypse.

Why Use This Mod?

Vanilla Minecraft becomes significantly safer once the sun rises. This mod removes that safety net and keeps the world feeling hostile at all times.

Perfect for:

  • Hardcore worlds
  • Survival-focused modpacks
  • Challenge runs
  • Zombie apocalypse experiences
  • Players looking for a more dangerous overworld
