Ever thought the world was just a little too nice to you? Have you ever wished mining and exploring was more dangerous, exciting, and also dangerous? Look no further!

This mod adds a bunch of new world generation features that make living more difficult! These features include custom spawners, mimics, pitfalls, silverfish veins, lava pockets, traps, doohickeys that shoot things at you and more!

The frequency of features and mobs in mob spawners (as well as nearly everything else) can be adjusted in the configs. Additionally, the features added can be very heavily modified and inserted into mod-added dimensions via data pack.

If you find any bugs or issues, please use the GitHub issues tracker, accessible from the GitHub link or the above "Issues" tab.

Features:

Highly configurable!

  • Pretty much everything has a config option
  • Configure each dimension individually
  • Overworld and Nether supported baseline; other dimensions require a data pack for full support

Things that generate in caves!

  • Spawners & overhaul of spawner mechanics
  • Lootable chests (allergy warning: may contain traces of death)
  • Floor traps, pitfalls, and spike traps
  • Towers - small structures that fire projectiles at you
  • Overhaul of monster room (AKA dungeon) mechanics

Underwater terrors!

  • Sea mines
  • Underwater floor traps

Stuff buried in solid ground!

  • Water and lava pockets
  • A new "runny" type of lava that flows like water in all dimensions
  • Surprise spawners and chests
  • Infested blocks & overhaul of infested block mechanics
  • Sand deposits, because you, too, deserve to have sand in every corner of your inventory that you can't seem to get rid of no matter how many times you clean it out

Buried Blocks Spawners, chests, lava, and water can be found while mining.
  • Sea Mine
Sea Mine Why are there sea mines underground? Is it technically even a sea mine if it's not in the sea?

  • Swarm Spawner
Swarm Spawner Does it count as quality over quantity if the quality is more quantity? The one thing philosophers do agree on is that big packs of monsters are scary.
  • Suspiciously Round Sand Deposit
Suspiciously Round Sand Deposit It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
  • Lava Pitfall
    Lava Pitfall Watch your step.
  • Definitely Not Infested Ore
Definitely Not Infested Ore This ore probably doesn't contain any silverfish.
