About
Description
The death mechanic in Minecraft is often used to bypass mechanics that help the player stay alive. For example, instead of investing into the game mechanics of enchanting, strip mining, and potions to defeat the Ender Dragon on the first run; the player can just get some iron armor, a respawn bed right outside the end portal, and fight the ender dragon not worrying about if he dies because he will just respawn, grab his stuff, and keep chipping away at the dragon's health.
This mod aims to render this sort of playstyle less accessible by making the death mechanic more taxing on the player. Upon respawning, the player will be granted multiple adverse potion effects for varying lengths of times (it's much more difficult to keep fighting when you have weakness, slowness, etc.!).
