Description
Death Chest Datapack
When a player dies, items in their inventory are stored in a chest minecart.
Tested Version
- 1.21.11
Specifications
- Upon death, a chest minecart is summoned at the death location.
- Items held at the time of death are stored in the chest minecart.
- If a player dies by falling into the End void, a chest will float on the ground at y=0 or their current coordinates.
- The summoned chest minecart will emit a beacon to indicate its location.
- If the chest minecart is loaded, the direction of the chest minecart will be displayed to the owner (the deceased player).
- The name of the player who died in the chest minecart is displayed to identify the player.
- The chest will automatically disappear 30 minutes after death (items will be dropped).
- Time will not be counted if the chest is not loaded.
- This will not work properly unless
keepInventoryis set totrue.
