Description

DeathGhostFix

DeathGhostFix reduces same-tick death ghosting by delaying only lethal death resolution until the end of the same server tick.

Without DeathGhostFix, a player can die before same-tick healing or a last-moment totem save is allowed to resolve.

Installation

Install on the server. A client-only install on multiplayer servers will not affect server-authoritative death resolution.

Behavior

  • Delays lethal death resolution until the end of the same server tick.
  • Allows same-tick saves from totems or healing to cancel death.
  • Still applies non-lethal damage immediately.
  • Still kills the player from the original damage source if nothing saves them before tick end.

  • Minecraft Java 1.21.11
  • Minecraft Java 26.1 through 26.1.2
