Overview
DecalCraft is a vanilla minecraft mod that adds a server/client friendly decal or sticker system to the game. You are able to craft decals of specific designs (similar to banners), add in custom ones through a datapack, and or use any item texture in the game. You can then place these decals on any standard surface.
Decals are optimized to work through the GPU rendering layer on Clients. On my PC I recorded around a ~10% decrease in FPS per 20,000 decals placed. Decals are stored in Chunk data, and are implimented via a Data-pack allowing for Servers and Modders to easily establish their own Decals.

Features

Decal Composer
You can access the Decal Composer GUI by holding a Paint Brush in your off hand, a Decal Tool in your main hand, and right-clicking. The Composer will let you stack decal layers to build custom signage and detailed designs within Minecraft. Any custom decal added via a datapack will automatically appear inside the Composer interface.
Colors and Opacity
Decals support over 16 colors, with 4 degree's of opacity each.

Item Decals
Most ingame items can be applied to surfaces as Decals. This does not necessairly work with Block entities, or blocks whose particle texture is inconsitent with their main texture. (Example: Chests use a oak block for the destruction particle, and an oak block texture is placed when using a chest face as a decal.)
Transforms
Once a decal is placed on a block with a decal tool, you can transform the decal on the surface of the block, rotating it, scaling it, and shifting off center. Look at a decal, shift with a paint brush in your off hand a decal tool in your main hand, use assigned keybinds to preform any transform action. Transformations are kept by the decal tool, allowing you to place decals of the same scale and orientation.
Deletion and Editing
Holding the brush and decal tool, you can apply a decal over another decal, deleting the original for the new. Alternatively you can shift click a decal with that setup to delete the decal. There's no way currently to edit an existing decal, you'll have to recreate it. (Plans to add a MMB action to duplicate a decal, or an alternative, are likely to be added in the next Update.)
Technical Features
Datapacks
Decals are implimented dynamically via resourcepacks, meaning you only need to add a resourcepack with decals to expand their options. You can also modify the name and ordering of existing decals if you so desire.
