Description
🃏 Deck of the Fallen
Six legends. Six cards. One door that should never be opened.
Deck of the Fallen adds collectible Boss Cards, a ritual arena, and a brand-new final boss: Xylar, the Void-Eater Chimera.
It was made for the Bubby's Grand Adventure modpack, which started as a dad building a pack for his son.
✨ Features
- 🃏 Six Boss Cards. Trading-card style portraits of the Ender Dragon, the Wither, the Warden, the Ashen Warlord (Ignis), the Snow Queen and Rootmin. Each one drops when that boss is defeated.
- 🏛️ The Void Coliseum. A huge black arena, ringed with lava and eternal flame, that generates in the open plains.
- 🔮 Themed Pedestals & the Summoning Altar. Place each card on its pedestal and watch it rise and float. Then wake the altar with a Nether Star.
- 👹 Xylar, the Void-Eater Chimera. A fully animated final boss with:
- Claw swipes and a sonic-boom repulse up close
- Void breath and orb volleys from range
- Teleporting melee and ranged phases
- Void Meteor Rain once he drops below half health
- A custom boss bar and a cinematic death
- 🏆 The Xylar Trophy Card. Claim it, and the six cards return so the ritual can be performed again.
📦 Requirements & Notes
- Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge
- The ritual, Xylar's moveset, card drops and arena protection run on KubeJS scripts that ship with the Bubby's Grand Adventure modpack. On its own, this mod adds the items, blocks, structure and boss, but the full experience is in Bubby's Grand Adventure.
- The boss cards come from L_Ender's Cataclysm (Ignis), The Twilight Forest (Snow Queen) and The Bumblezone (Rootmin).
🤝 Works With (dependencies)
Huge thanks to the authors whose bosses and tools make the full experience possible:
- KubeJS by LatvianModder: scripting for the ritual, boss AI and card drops
- Patchouli by Vazkii: the Void Codex guide book
- L_Ender's Cataclysm by L_Ender: Ignis, the Burning Nether Despot
- The Twilight Forest by the Twilight Forest team: the Snow Queen
- The Bumblezone by TelepathicGrunt: Rootmin
💜 Credits
- 🎨 Im2Kiwi4This (Kiwibon) designed, modeled and animated Xylar, the Void-Eater Chimera, along with his projectiles and the Void Meteor ultimate. Xylar wouldn't exist without this incredible work. Please go check out their projects!
- Made with MCreator, KubeJS and Patchouli.
Hunt the legends. Collect the deck. Wake the Void.
🖼️ About the artwork The boss card illustrations were created with AI image tools, based on my own concepts for each card, and they’re the exact art you’ll see on the cards in-game. The logo is built from that same card art. Xylar’s 3D model and animations were hand-made by Im2Kiwi4This (Kiwibon).
Deck of the Fallen was my idea from the start: the concept of hunting down the bosses that drop the cards, the boss (Xylar), the cards, the ritual, and the arena. I built it in MCreator with AI assistance for scripting and textures, and every piece was tested and tuned in-game for my son’s modpack.
