Description

DEPTANA Villager Shelter

Mark a covered shelter with the Shelter Book. Villagers head inside when supported military activity is detected nearby and wait for the all-clear. Several shelters and independent village groups can coexist in one world.

Setup

  • Craft the Shelter Book from a regular book and an iron ingot.
  • Right-click a floor under a roof. Leave a walkable entrance and two clear blocks above the floor.
  • The same book keeps its village group when you add another shelter, even at a distance.
  • To remove a mark, Shift + right-click it twice within five seconds.

Villagers wait 60–70 seconds of game time after the last detected threat. New activity extends the wait.

Testing

An operator can use /deptana_shelter test for a local drill and /deptana_shelter status to inspect villagers and shelters.

Requirements

Minecraft Java 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.10 and Java 17. Install on client and server. No additional mods are required to start the mod or run a drill.

Optional military integrations: Superb Warfare, Vintage Vehicle Pack and WarBorn Drones. Unknown vehicles that bypass Forge damage events may need separate compatibility work.
