Dess Holiday Mod (Forge 1.20.1)

Mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1, fully dedicated to integrating December (Dess) Holiday, the unseen character from Deltarune into the game.

Originally developed as a personal project for multiplayer gameplay among friends, this mod has been made open-source and publicly available for the community. Players and developers are welcome to utilize the mod, submit feature requests, inspect or modify the source code for custom forks and report bugs. Report an issue / Source-code

The mod is do not requires external library dependencies. So you just download and use.

Features

• Companion NPC: Dess spawns naturally in your world during night-time hours. Right-clicking her establishes companionship, allowing her to follow you and assist on your adventures.
• Interactive GUI: Press Shift + Right-Click on Dess to access her interactive menu GUI.
• Customization:
  • Customize her display name dynamically.
  • Apply custom skins via image URL or direct Minecraft username skin lookup within the menu.
• Behavior Toggles:
  • Toggle between Follow and Sit modes.
  • Toggle armor visibility on her character model whilst maintaining full defensive stats.
  • Enable or disable her randomized dialogue messages in chat.
• Gifts:
  • Dess will be able to gift you items and random stuff when you kiss her.
• Inventory:
  • Dess features a fully functional 27-slot inventory (equivalent to a standard single chest).
  • Note: You must place the "old mint cans with unique leaves inside of them" item into her dedicated slot to unlock her inventory storage.
• Equipment & Armaments: Equip her with standard armor pieces and weapons to bolster her combat capabilities.
• Special Combat Abilities: When threatened by hostiles, Dess transforms into the Roaring Knight, wielding her default Roaring Knight Blade and inflicting the Snowgrave status effect upon enemies.
• Utility Command: Execute /dess to easily summon or relocate her to your position.

Custom Items

• Old mint cans with unique leaves inside of them: A direct reference to object found in Dess's room in Deltarune Chapter 4. Equip this item into her dedicated equipment slot to unlock her 27-slot inventory storage.
  • Crafting Recipe: 1x Paper + 1x Grass / Tall Grass + 1x Flint and Steel
  • Consumable Effect: Grants Speed III and Resistance III for 1 minute and 25 seconds upon consumption.

• Roaring Knight Blade: The primary default weapon utilized by Dess upon transforming into the Roaring Knight. This item cannot be obtained in standard survival mode.

Compatibility & Requirements

This mod was engineered specifically for Minecraft version 1.20.1. Backwards or forwards compatibility with other Minecraft versions is not currently supported. It also works on multiplayer, obviously you need to install the mod in client-side & server-side.
