Description
Did you ever miss paying taxes in Minecraft? Well, now, thanks to this absolutely essential mod, you can finally experience the joy of mandatory financial obligations right in your blocky paradise! And don’t worry about calculating those pesky taxes yourself - this mod takes care of all the fun accounting for you. Isn’t that just incredible?
What this mod adds:
Three thrilling taxes to keep you grounded:
Mining Tax: Every ore you break is now an opportunity to give back to.. well, someone! The game takes a small "appreciation fee" on each precious block mined.
Smelting Tax: Every time you smelt an item, a bit of that value goes right to the Crown’s coffers. That furnace isn’t just for free, after all!
Trading Tax: Got a thriving trade deal with villagers? Each emerald transaction now includes a minor surcharge to keep the game... "balanced."
Dynamic Tax Rates:
To keep things interesting, the tax rate increases by 1% every 30 days until it hits a maximum generous rate of 42%. Yes, you read that right. Now there’s a real sense of urgency!
Have you missed a payment?
Forgot to pay up? No problem, the IRS (In-Game Revenue Service) will kindly remind you by sending agents straight to your base. Each missed payment ramps up the pressure, with the IRS getting stronger and more aggressive as the difficulty increases every time. Think of it as a friendly nudge… with progressively stronger mobs and "motivational" penalties. So don't be late, or prepare for a visit you definitely won’t forget!
Press CTRL + T to open the tax screen
Coding this project took about 24 hours.
Unfortunately, my art and modeling skills weren't powerful enough to realistically display the IRS pulling up in tanks, bomber planes, or attack helicopters.
This mod was created for the 2024 SpookyJam.
