YANDO's Dimensional Anchor
Unlock the Mysteries of Teleportation – With a Few Risks Along the Way!
Overview
Lodestones are pretty neat, right? Well, they would be if they didn’t cost a precious Netherite ingot just to make a compass point at them. But why stop at a fancy compass when you can bend the very fabric of reality itself? Enter YANDO’s Dimensional Anchor—a mod that takes that humble Lodestone and turns it into a gateway across dimensions.
Now, with a simple right-click and a bit of your hard-earned experience levels, you can teleport to your Lodestone’s location from anywhere in the world—or even across dimensions. But beware, adventurer, because with great power comes great risk. The magic fueling this teleportation is unpredictable, and if you’re not careful, you might end up in a very different place than you intended...
Perfect for those who crave both convenience and a dash of danger in their Minecraft journeys.
How It Works:
Setting Your Anchor ⚓
To begin your journey, simply right-click a Lodestone with a compass. This action binds the compass to the Lodestone, anchoring you to that location. Wherever you go, your compass will always point back home.
Charging the Teleportation ✨
When you’re ready to teleport, right-click and hold with your bound compass. As you channel the magic, the compass will start to glow—release it, and you’ll find yourself whisked away to the Lodestone’s location. Just make sure you’ve got enough experience levels, or you might find yourself in a bit of a predicament.
Costs and Consequences 💀
Teleporting within the same dimension costs 5 levels, while interdimensional travel demands a hefty 30 levels. Fail to meet these requirements, and the magic could backfire. You might take damage, lose your compass, or even end up stranded in a completely random location—or worse, a random dimension!
Risky Business 🔥
When teleporting across dimensions, things can get even hairier. You’ll suffer more damage, your compass will break, and who knows where you’ll end up? Only the bravest of souls should attempt such feats without a solid backup plan.

In the world of Minecraft...
Adventurers seek out powerful artifacts and magical items to aid them on their quests. One such item is the Lodestone, a rare and expensive block that only the most skilled artisans can craft, making use of one of the rarest ingots in the world. And for what? To make compasses point towards it. As you can imagine, many adventurers find the Lodestone to be a useless trinket, a symbol of the excesses of the wealthy.
But fear not, for a new artifact has been discovered: the Dimensional Anchor.
With this powerful artifact installed, the Lodestone becomes much more than a mere decorative item. It becomes a gateway to another dimension, a beacon of hope for those seeking to teleport across great distances.
To use the Dimensional Anchor, adventurers must first link their compass to a Lodestone by right-clicking on it.
Then, with the linked compass in hand, they must charge it up by holding down the right mouse button. The power required to teleport varies depending on the distance and dimension, so adventurers must be careful not to overtax their reserves of experience points.
Costs:
- If both the player and the Lodestone are in the same dimension, teleportation costs 5 levels of experience points (configurable).
- If the player and the Lodestone are in different dimensions, teleportation costs 30 levels of experience points (configurable).
Risks:
- Attempting to teleport without enough experience points can result in one of the following penalties:
- Taking 1-5 points of damage and being teleported normally.
- Having the compass break and nothing happening.
- Being teleported to a random valid location within a 50-block radius around the Lodestone in any dimension, losing all experience points.
- If the player and the Lodestone are in different dimensions, the risks are greater and the player will certainly take 5-10 points of damage, the compass will break, and then it will randomly suffer one of these extra effects:
- Nothing happens.
- The player gets teleported to a random location in the same dimension.
- The player gets teleported to a random dimension in the same coordinates.
- The player gets teleported to a random dimension and coordinates.
Note: If installed on the client, there will be a decreasing field of view (FOV) effect displayed when charging up the Lodestone compass. And while there are no plans for a Forge version, mod developers interested in making a Forge version can send a direct message to the creator.
