About

Description

Take the plunge!

And you'll never know quite where you'll emerge...

That's not true actually; Dimensional Tears, the new fluid added by this mod, teleports you to your spawnpoint upon contact. If collected in a bottle from an active respawn anchor, that bottle will be linked to that respawn anchor, regardless of your spawnpoint. Entities that enter the fluid will be transported to worldspawn.

This mod also contains a number of helpful config options. If you disable flint_and_steel_portal_lighting, then you must use a bottle of Dimensional Tears to ignite each portal, creating a more challenging but thematic interaction.

You will also find fascinating worldgen through out the End, including stripes of obsidian and pools, springs and an ocean of Dimensional Tears.

What's Dimensional Tears?

Dimensional tears lubricates the spaces between dimensions with a new, mysterious fluid! Nether portals will be your first exposure. Found in ruined nether portal chests, Bottles of Dimensional Tears can be drunk to destabilize your body, granting the Rifting effect. After a few seconds, Rifting teleports you back to spawn. Watch out though--damage and water cancel the effect.

The bottle of tears has another important purpose: it replaces flint and steel as the method of opening portals. If you run out of tears from chests, more can always be obtained by using an empty bottle on a charged respawn anchor.

The final form of the tears is found in the End. Where there once was void, there is now a roiling ocean of teleportative fluid. When dropped into it, you no longer die, and are instead sent to world spawn. Pools of tears on end islands can be bucketed and used for your own purposes.
