Dirt Dirt

Dirt Dirt is a mod for Minecraft. Its main block is Dirt Dirt.

Dirt Dirt

• It retains the properties of regular dirt
• Hardness: 2 for explosions resistance (regular dirt is 0.5 hardness)

World generation

Dirt Dirt generates only as an underground dirt-like deposit:

• its deposit size larger than dirt and rarer

Faster growth and farmland

Plants growing directly on Dirt Dirt grow approximately twice as fast. This includes saplings, bamboo, and sugar cane, among other supported plants.

Using a hoe creates dirt dirt farmland. Crops such as wheat grow approximately twice as fast on it.

Fast dirt path

Using a shovel creates dirt dirt path. Players and mobs move twice as fast while standing on this path.

Special coarse dirt

Replace Dirt with dirt dirt in the regular Coarse Dirt recipe:

Dirt Dirt  Gravel
Gravel     Dirt Dirt

The recipe produces four coarse dirt dirt blocks.

Special coarse dirt selects nearby positions using the same pattern as grass spreading. Any Grass Block it finds is converted into regular Dirt. The newly created regular Dirt does not spread this effect any further.
