DonutAuctions (Continued)

A community continuation of DonutAuctions by JanCantCode. The original mod (GitHub) became inactive, so this fork picks it up: it fixes the pricing and reliability problems and adds new features, while keeping full credit to the original author. All original credit goes to JanCantCode; this continuation is maintained by Calann.

Client-side Fabric mod for DonutSMP. Hover any item and instantly see its live auction-house value right in the tooltip — no more /ah.

Features

  • Live auction-house price in the tooltip. The value comes from the actual DonutSMP auction house — the cheapest matching active listing — not the /sell price.
  • Enchantment-aware. Hovering a Prot 4 / Unbreaking 3 / Mending chestplate prices that set of enchantments, exactly like searching for it in /ah.
  • Correct stack pricing. A single item is valued from the cheapest single listing; a full stack from the cheapest stack listing — no more bulk-discount weirdness.
  • Container Value overlay. Open any chest or shulker and see the total auction value of everything inside, at a glance.
  • Shulker box valuation. Hover a shulker to get the summed value of its contents.
  • ** Mod Menu config screen.** Toggle the tooltip, the extra price lines and the container overlay.
  • Well-behaved. Only queries the API on DonutSMP, respects the server's rate limit, and shows clear states for loading / no results / rate-limited / missing or invalid API key.

Setup

  1. Install Fabric Loader, Fabric API, and (optionally) Mod Menu for the config screen.
  2. Join DonutSMP and run /api in chat to generate your API key (must be verified on Discord) — the mod detects and stores it automatically. Your key is only ever sent to the official DonutSMP API.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 (Fabric, client-side).

Credits

Note on enchantment data

DonutSMP's public API does not expose per-item enchantment data in its responses. This mod stays enchant-accurate by letting the server's own auction search filter by enchantments (the same mechanism /ah uses), then matching the item type — so you get the correct price without relying on data the API doesn't provide.
