Dracolotl
No reviews yet
Ever wished that instead of hatching your dragon egg into a magnificent mount, you could hatch it into a draconic pet Axolotl? No? Well, here it is anyway.
Themed around magical elements, mythical creatures, and enchanted worlds, often inspired by fantasy literature and folklore.
Includes a large focus on traversing worlds with enhanced world generation, structures, dungeons, and more for players to find unique loot.
Includes aesthetic items like decoration, clothing, and visual effects.
Adds or enhances hostile creatures and enemies.
Includes new pets and tameable creatures.
Features dragon mobs, items, and often dragon-taming mechanics.
Includes quality of life improvements and small tweaks to enhance and customize gameplay.
Features high-quality textures and models.

Description
_(Requires GeckoLib)_
With this mod, you will gain the ability to hatch the Ender Dragon egg into the cutest apex predator, the Dracolotl. When you summon your Dracolotl, it will be bonded to you, and follow you into battle! Or stay at home like the rest of your minecraft pets.
To summon your Dracolotl, create a three block tall pillar with the dragon egg on top, then place either Obsidian or Bedrock one block away from each of the pillar's faces. Place an end crystal atop each of those blocks, and interact with the Dragon Egg to hatch it. Check the images tab for an example.
If you spawn a wild Dracolotl through a bucket or spawn egg from the creative mode menu (or commands), it can be tamed using Eyes of Ender.
Like Axolotls, Dracolotls can breathe underwater, and will play dead upon taking enough damage, causing hostile mobs to ignore it. When a Dracolotl recovers, it will give itself and its owner the Strength effect. The Dracolotl can also fly, and be interacted with by its owner using a bottle to obtain Dragon's Breath.
If a Dracolotl is fed a Chorus Flower, there is a very slim chance for it to produce a new Dragon Egg. By naming your Dracolotl 'Hellkite,' you can give it a special 'Red Dragon' skin.
