About

Description

This is my second try to upload my mod here because my try some years ago got rejected due to the name of the mod, but the thing is I can't use any of the another names the mod had earlier and my mod isn't doing something special so I don't want to give my mod a untruth name. And the name is as simple as the mod is.

You can read the History chapter if you want to, but you don't need to read it. Some people could understand why I named my mod DuckTools after reading the History chapter but I won't force anyone to read it.

Support-Server: https://discord.gg/bjK7ECzG65

Important: This mod requires Duck Core! [1.12.2 ; also 1.20.1/1.21.1 if you use v1.3.2 or later of DuckTools]

History

In the 1.7.10 some years ago (I think the newest version was the 1.9 or 1.10 at that moment) I began with a mod creator tool to create my first tools mod with the name EmeraldToolsMod which contained only emerald tools.

Over the time I added more and more tools to the mod so I renamed it to MoreToolsMod which caused loss of data in my worlds due to a change in the mod id. At that moment only I used the mod.

Over all the years I used the name MoreToolsMod for my mod until I found out from a Google search that there was already a mod with the name MoreToolsMod, so I changed the name to DuckTools (this the cause of the change of the name). In the all the time I had updated my mod for the 1.7.10 until I figured out how to use the Forge MDK (I was little bit stupid) so I could update it to the 1.12.2.

Over all the time I updated the mod mainly for the 1.12.2 but some months ago I started to update the mod for the lastest versions of minecraft (1.14.4 and 1.15.2).

Ores that will be added (from weakest to strongest)

Bastium (can't be found in 1.20.1 versions of DuckTools since v1.3.4)

Ditanium

Mimosium

Tricium

Ruby

Elastium (it should have been a primary material for Duck Technics ; can't be found in 1.20.1 versions of DuckTools since v1.3.4)

Auxilium (currently it hasn't any function, except glowing)

Sulfur (due to Forge's Ore Dictionary you can use sulfur in other mods' recipes that require sulfur)

Saltpeter (due to Forge's Ore Dictionary you can use sulfur in other mods' recipes that require saltpeter)

Blurz (only used to produce Izenit yet)

Izenit (currently it hasn't any function)

Brown Coal (it can be burnt like coal and charcoal, and it can be found in large sizes in dirt and mud blocks ; also it has less burn time than coal and charcoal)

Random Ore (will drop any random block/item from the droplist in the config)

Enchanted Ore (will drop Enchanted Dust, for uses see Crafting Recipes)

Fake Ores (this ores is only including my ores and will generate at the first april, it will move around on block destruction even only at the first april. [It can't grief any blocks except the natural block in that it was generated, as example stone for minium ore!] At all other days it will just disappear. I think it is important to notice even april jokes here so nobody is wondering about that.) ; Fake Ores can only be found in versions for MC 1.12.2 of DuckTools!

Limestone (in 1.12.2 it has a orange colored texture and only bricks ; in 1.20.1 it was retextured by redstonehase in v1.3.4 of DuckTools and limestone also got slabs, stairs and walls for the variants limestone, bricks, mossy and cracked)

Crafting Recipes

Bastium, Ditium, Minium, Tricium, Emerald and Ruby Tools are using the same tool pattern as the vanilla tools. (1x stick and 2x ruby as example for a Ruby Sword.) ; The ruby recipes only apply to the 1.12.2 versions of DuckTools, in 1.20.1 they are crafted with the smithing table ; The emerald recipes only apply to the 1.12.2 versions of DuckTools, in 1.20.1 they were removed and can be enabled back via datapack

Blurz and Bastium plates can be crafted together in a shapeless pattern to a Bastium-Blurz-Mixture which can be smelted to Izenit plates which will get some functions in the future.

Limestone Bricks are sharing the same crafting pattern like the stone bricks just only with limestone instead of stone. (limestone got more variants and blocks in 1.20.1 where you can also use stonecutting recipes to get that blocks)

Enchanted Dust can be crafted to Experience Bottle with a single glass bottle in a shapeless recipe pattern.

You can craft Hammers in the following pattern (in the example I used tricium blocks):

triciumhammerrecipe.png

These hammers can be used for combat and even for mining.

You can even craft big Hammers with these normal hammers in the following pattern (in the example I used the tricium hammer from the image above):

triciumbighammerrecipe_old.png

(This is the recipe pattern if you disabled Use New Hammer Recipes in the config!)

(This is the recipe pattern if you enabled Use New Hammer Recipes in the config!)

These big hammers can only be used for combat.

Config

The config is only present in 1.12.2 versions of DuckTools!

Here you can see the standard config file: https://pastebin.com/pXzeKNsE

You can change every setting from the ingame config gui.

TODO

- Fix the Enchanted Ore

- Add config for the droplist of the Random Ore

- Add useful functions to sulfur, saltpeter (these two can be used in other mods' recipes that require saltpeter and sulfur, like a gunpowder recipe) and izenit plates

- Add some for possible uses for the blurz (currently you can only use it to craft Bastium-Blurz.Mixture)

- Add some stronger and more rare ores and alloys
