DuoHunter

DuoHunter is a horror-focused hostile mob for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1, powered by GeckoLib. It only spawns at night and turns every encounter into a tense cat-and-mouse chase rather than a simple fight.

Features

• Watch-based AI: DuoHunter creeps slowly forward while a player is looking at it, and breaks into a sprint the moment it's out of sight.
• Teleportation: it can vanish and reappear directly behind an unsuspecting player.
• Door-opening & tracking: it opens doors, searches the last known player location, and has an extended follow range.
• Sunlight avoidance: it teleports away from direct sunlight instead of burning.
• Spawn intro sequence: on spawning, it performs a head-crack animation before flying in toward the player.
• Horror atmosphere: screen shake, heartbeat, whispers, random footsteps, screen glitches, black flashes, random fog, door slams, and a looping chase music cue while it's actively hunting a player.
• Jumpscare system: a full jumpscare animation with a brief camera lock when it catches a player off guard.
• Difficulty-scaled damage: 8 / 12 / 20 damage on Easy / Normal / Hard, with 150 HP.
• Custom GeckoLib model & animations, a rare trophy drop, and a dedicated advancement for defeating it.
• Full English and Turkish translations.
