About
Description
DuraHUD
Three things you keep opening menus for, moved onto your HUD.
How close your armor is to breaking, how many potions you are still carrying, and how long your effects have left — each one its own display, each one placed and styled the way you want it.
Fully client-side. Nothing to install on the server, works on any server you play on.
Durability
Helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots, main hand and off hand — color-coded so one glance tells you what needs repairing.
Full — icon, durability bar, numbers, optionally the item name:
[helmet] ██████████░░░ 86%
[chestplate] ██████░░░░░░░ 44%
[leggings] ██░░░░░░░░░░░ 12%
[boots] ████████░░░░░ 63%
Mini — icon and one value, tight spacing, for people who want their screen back:
[helmet] 86% [chestplate] 44% [leggings] 12% [boots] 63%
Color bands
Green, yellow and red are not hardcoded. Add up to five bands, each with its own threshold and its own hex color, and pick which unit the thresholds use:
- Percentage — green above 50%, yellow above 25%, red below
- Durability points — green above 300 remaining uses, yellow above 100
Points mode is the one you want when a diamond pickaxe at 20% (312 uses left) should not look as alarming as a golden sword at 20% (6 uses left).
Effect timer
A replacement for the vanilla effect icons, with the remaining time actually written on screen. Four styles:
| Style | Shows |
|---|---|
| Detailed | icon + effect name + level + time left + duration bar |
| Compact | icon + time beside it |
| Icons only | just the icons, each with a thin duration bar |
| Icon + time | time drawn over the icon, the smallest of the four |
- Hide vanilla effects — switch the game's own effect icons off so nothing is shown twice (on by default)
- Time format:
1:26,4m/13s, or plain seconds - Order: ending soonest, longest left, by name, or helpful effects first
- Levels as roman numerals (II, III), toggleable
- The duration bar uses the effect's own color; infinite effects show
∞
Potion counter
Know what is left in your inventory without opening it.
- All potions — every potion type you carry, with its count. Splash and lingering are counted separately, and you can cap how many rows are shown.
- Picked effects — choose up to 4 effects (say, Fire Resistance and Strength) and only those are counted.
- Potions you are not carrying take up no space: rows appear and disappear with your inventory.
- The effect list is read from the game's own potion registry, so modded potions show up too.
- XP bottles get their own count, placed at the top or bottom of the list.
Placement
Each of the three displays has its own settings:
- Position — 8 anchor points plus X/Y offset
- Size — 0.5x to 2.0x
- Direction — stacked vertically or laid out horizontally
- Background — on/off with adjustable opacity
- Live preview — the settings screen draws all three HUDs where they will actually appear, so you never have to close it to check

Both are rebindable from Options → Controls. With Mod Menu installed, the settings screen also opens from the mod list.
Settings live in config/durahud.json and can be edited by hand.
Compatibility
- Client-side only, no server install needed
- The 1.21.11 and 1.21.4 builds use no mixins at all — nothing is patched into vanilla classes. The 1.21.1 build uses a single small mixin, only to hide the vanilla effect icons, because that version has no HUD layer API to do it with.
- English and Turkish translations included
Requirements
- Fabric Loader
- Fabric API
- Mod Menu — optional
Versions
Separate builds for 1.21.11, 1.21.4 and 1.21.1. Pick the file that matches your Minecraft version.
