About
Description

Dynamic Chests expands Minecraft with unique chests that each have their own special mechanics, offering new ways to store, protect, and manage your items. Rather than simply increasing storage, every chest is designed to serve a distinct purpose while fitting naturally into survival gameplay.
Current Chests:

- When the player who placed it dies, the nearest unused Soul Chest they placed, in any dimension, catches their whole inventory instead of it dropping. Opening and closing it with items still inside makes it shatter and drop what’s left.
Shadow Chest
- It looks exactly like the block underneath it, so it hides in plain sight. It stores 27 items, and two placed side by side make a double chest.

- Everything inside is destroyed five seconds after the last player closes it. Items that a hopper or pipe puts in while nobody has it open vanish on the next tick, so it works as an automatic item sink.

- You put an item in the bet slot and press Gamble for a chance at a jackpot, a triple, a double, an upgrade, the item back, or a loss. The odds, upgrades and sounds can be changed in its config.

- The Rift Chest is a 54-slot chest whose inventory is shared with every other Rift Chest set to the same frequency (00–99), in any dimension. Each frequency has its own colour, and breaking a chest never drops the items, because they stay stored in the world for the other chests on that frequency.
Pocket-Dimension Chest
- Right-clicking it takes you into a small private dimension that belongs to the player who placed it. The owner can make it private or public and trust friends with /pocket trust.
Furnace Chest
- It is six furnaces in one block, each smelting one item at a time at twice the vanilla speed from a shared fuel store. Finished items go straight into a 27-slot output chest.
Woodcutter Chest
- It is a Stonecutter for wood, turning logs and planks into slabs, stairs, doors, boats and more. It doesn’t need sticks or any other side ingredients.
- Currently Has No Unique Texture
Exp Chest
- It is a 54-slot chest that accepts only Mending items and repairs them using XP you deposit, including liquid XP from fluid mods. Breaking it releases the stored XP as orbs.
- Currently Has No Unique Texture
Gobbler's Chest
- It eats enchanted items and turns each enchantment into an enchanted book, using up one plain book per enchantment. A second mode keeps the item and only strips its enchantments.
- Currently Has No Unique Texture
Disclaimer/Use
- Feel free to use the mod in modpacks or a standalone mod for servers. All I ask is for servers not to involve the gamblers chest in making IRL currency as it breaks Minecraft's EULA.
