# ECHOFRONT: First Signal

**Call down the Skybreaker, an orbital cannon that tears open the sky and leaves a crater behind.**

ECHOFRONT is a sci-fi adventure mod for Fabric. Explore a derelict research facility, take on the AUR-7 boss, and get your hands on the Skybreaker, a weapon you aim at the ground and watch the sky answer.

## The Skybreaker

- Aim, fire, and run: a rift opens in the sky and an Astral Wyrm is summoned.
- After a short countdown, thick beams and lightning rain down on the target.
- A huge shockwave rips a deep crater up to 30 blocks around the impact point, and debris is thrown high into the air.
- The strike shakes the screen, lights up the sky with lightning, and leaves fire and smoke over the crater.
- The terrain damage respects the `mobGriefing` game rule, so servers can switch it off.

## The Facility and AUR-7

- Find the ruined research facility and fight your way through it.
- Face the boss AUR-7 in the arena at the end.

## Compatibility

- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Fabric Loader 0.15.11 or newer
- Fabric API 0.92.2 or newer
- Works in singleplayer and on servers. Install it on both the server and the clients.
- You are welcome to use it in modpacks. Please credit the mod and link back to this page.

## Performance note

The strike spawns a lot of particles and effects. On weaker PCs you may see a short frame drop when it hits. A config to tone the effects down is planned.
