Server Economy and Currency System Specification

1. Currency Hierarchy and Crafting Mechanics

The economy uses a 15-tier currency system. This system uses five materials and a base-8 conversion scale.

Material Tiers

  1. Copper
  2. Iron
  3. Gold
  4. Diamond
  5. Netherite

Form Factors

  • Coin: Base unit
  • Purse: 8 Coins
  • Bar: 8 Purses (64 Coins)

Conversion and Crafting Rules

Use a standard crafting table to craft currency. All recipes are shapeless:

  • Up-Crafting: Combine 8 lower-tier items to make 1 higher-tier item.
  • Down-Crafting: Craft 1 higher-tier item to get 8 lower-tier items.
  • Stack Efficiency: Craft 1 Bar to get 64 Coins of the same material. Craft 1 Coin to get 8 Bars of the lower material tier.
  • Block Placement: You cannot place currency blocks in the world.

2. Methods to Get Currency

You can get currency in four ways:

  1. Weekly Active Payment: Stay online for 30 consecutive minutes between Monday and Sunday. The server sends an automatic payment at the start of the next week.
  2. Weekly Server Events: Participate in tournaments and events to get rewards.
  3. Quest Boards: Complete daily, weekly, and monthly quests to get rewards.
  4. Server Market: Sell resources directly to the market.

3. Dynamic Market Rules

The market changes prices to prevent inflation and encourage resource diversity.

Weekly Item Rotation

Each week, the server selects trade items. An automated system sets reference prices.

Two-Tier Price Decay System

Item prices decrease based on two factors:

  • Global Market Scaling: High trade volume on the server lowers the market price to a set minimum value.
  • Personal Market Scaling: Selling large quantities of one resource lowers your personal payment to zero. This does not change the global price for other players.

4. Hardware and Storage Items

Market Exchange Block

  • Displays current items and exchange rates in a user interface.
  • Supports hopper automation and processes sales with a redstone signal.
  • Batch Calculation Engine: Calculates prices item-by-item during bulk sales to give correct rates.

The Coin Pouch

  • Right-click the item from your hotbar or inventory to open it.
  • Stores unlimited amounts of all 15 currency tiers.
  • Contains buttons for automatic deposit and currency compacting.
