About
Description
EconomicTax is an economic addon mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1, built upon the Economics mod to add a full taxation system to servers. The mod features two core gameplay mechanics:
-
Main tax rules – OPs can use the “Tax Editor” item to customize tax names, collection intervals, and tax amounts. Taxes can be collected either as a percentage of the player’s bank balance or as a fixed number of emeralds.
-
Event‑based taxation – Players are automatically taxed when they enter the Overworld, the Nether, or the End, and also when they farm land, mine ores, kill animals, or even sleep.
The mod includes default rules that scale with game difficulty: Peaceful – no penalty; Easy – 3% every 3 days; Normal – 3% per day; Hard – 10% per day. When a tax deadline approaches, the game sends a reminder in the chat five minutes in advance and periodically urges payment. Players simply need to hold a bank debit card and click the “Pay Tax” button in the chat to complete the payment.
If a player defaults on their taxes, five vindicators with extremely high health will be summoned every minute as punishment. Only players in Survival mode are subject to taxation. All tax rules can be visually edited in‑game by OPs and are saved to the server’s save files, making this a highly entertaining and integrated economic gameplay experience.
