Eden Power
Choose an identity, grow your power, and become a legend.
New in 26.10.24

About
Eden Power is a large RPG growth mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that brings identity, skills, spells, a bestiary and pet management together in one complete character-progression experience. Survive, grow and become a legendary hero — your entire adventure becomes a journey of growth.
Core Gameplay Loop
Choose a class (identity), earn bonus XP by doing what you love, convert XP into Skill Points (SP), buy 43 passive skills, unlock 25 active spells through hidden conditions, register and look after your pets, and fill your bestiary by hunting monsters. Every system feeds into the next.
Features
10 Identities — Play Your Way
Pick from Warrior, Miner, Scholar, Farmer, Rancher, Fisher, Traveler, Merchant and Mage — with Chef joining the roster when a kitchen mod (Kaleidoscope Cookery) is installed. Each identity grants bonus XP for the activities it loves — mining, fighting, farming, fishing, exploring, trading and more. Your first identity is free; switching later costs a few Skill Points. Every identity also keeps its own journal of what you have seen.

43 Passive Skills — Permanent & Refundable
Spend Skill Points on a huge tree of permanent perks: Soul Shield to absorb damage, double jump, walk on water, chain mining, magnetic item pickup, soul-bound gear, extra mana, faster chanting and many more. Every point is fully refundable, so you can respec whenever you like.

25 Active Spells — Unlock Through Discovery
Wield Blazing Bolt, Frost Bolt, Thunder Strike, Meteor Fall, Chain Lightning, Shifting Shadows and more. Spells do not cost Skill Points — they grow stronger through practice, and many are unlocked by hidden feats: slay blazes to learn fireballs, craft a lightning rod to call thunder, and keep exploring to find the rest.
The 26.10.24 update adds three more spells: Vital Regeneration (channel to restore health, unlocked by eating golden apples), Atomic Disintegration (a black hole that pulls enemies in and then bursts, unlocked by slaying endermen and crafting TNT) and Sweeping Tornado (a growing tornado that pursues and drags enemies, unlocked by sprinting long distances).

Shadow Flash — A New Dodge
Press the Shadow Flash key (V by default, rebindable in Controls) to dash in your movement direction, or backwards when no direction key is held. It grows across five levels, restores charges over time, grants brief invulnerability, preserves sprinting and momentum, can climb 1-block ledges, and is shortened by walls. It interrupts casting and item use so you can break away at a moment's notice.
Pets & Mounts — A Full Companion System
- Register: sneak-right-click your own tamed pet or mount with an empty main hand. Registered animals keep all their native interactions.
- Quick actions: favorites, renaming, summoning, storage and twelve wheel shortcut slots. A short press of
Nstores or releases your favorite pet (releasing a rideable mount attempts to mount it); hold for at least 0.3 seconds to open the wheel. - Safety & revival: independent storage, cross-dimensional recall, safe landing checks and automatic storage of favorite pets on chunk unload. A registered pet with a valid death record can be revived at full health using one Totem of Undying — failed attempts do not consume it.
- Per-pet controls: toggle autonomous movement, jumping and follow teleportation for each animal; the choice persists through storage, release and relogging.
- Mount sidebar & camera: vanilla-style Rename, Allow Movement, Automatic Third Person and Recall buttons, plus a per-mount automatic third-person view with smooth transitions.
A Living Bestiary — Hunt to Master
Every creature you defeat is recorded in your codex. Study a species to deal more damage to it and take less in return, and roll powerful combat abilities such as execute, life steal, reflex and containment.

Eden Journey — Guided Tutorials
A built-in progression route covers ability points, identity discoveries, spell unlocking and practice, codex capture and release, utility abilities, soul binding and Soul Homecoming. It advances based on what you actually do, and pauses or explains any objective that is restricted by your configuration.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.244 or newer (below 21.2)
- Java 21
- Eden Lib 1.0.0-beta.2 and GeckoLib 4.7.5.1 are bundled with the mod — no separate download needed.
Installation
- Install NeoForge 1.21.1 (21.1.244 or newer, below 21.2).
- Remove any old Eden Power jar; if you previously installed Eden Lib separately, remove that standalone jar as well.
- Drop the Eden Power jar into your
modsfolder — do not extract it. - Launch the game. Eden Lib and GeckoLib are already included; use the same version on client and server.
Upgrading a 26.10.13 World
Always back up your world and config first. On first load the mod imports legacy data — skill points, ability levels and toggles, spell unlocks/practice/cooldowns/wheels, identity discoveries, mana and souls, soul bindings, portable inventories, valid destinations, codex progress and furnace ownership. Legacy identifiers are converted automatically, and a complete backup of the old player NBT is written to data/eden_power_legacy_backup/players/ inside the world folder. Creatures in the old codex containment box or overflow queue are not restored; this migration is not a cross-version converter, and downgrading a converted world is not guaranteed to be safe.
Compatibility
Built for NeoForge 1.21.1 only — there is no Fabric or Quilt build. The Chef identity is designed to pair with Kaleidoscope Cookery but is optional; the mod runs perfectly on its own. Optional compatibility is included for Sable / aeronautics, Kaleidoscope cooking, Transmog, Sodium and Veil shaders. Note that the old public extension API has been retired — add-ons using it need to be adapted and must not assume binary compatibility.

Special thanks to:
for their MIT-licensed open-source code; the smooth automatic riding-camera transitions are derived from Nimble.
for granting permission to use the Shadow Scythe Raid animation.
FAQ
Do I need to install GeckoLib or Eden Lib separately?
No — both are bundled inside the mod. If you have a standalone Eden Lib jar from an older version, remove it.
Does it work on Fabric or Quilt?
No, this is a NeoForge-only release.
Can I reset my skills?
Yes. Passive skills are fully refundable at any time.
How do I bring back a pet that died?
If the pet was registered and has a valid death record, use one Totem of Undying to revive it at full health; failed attempts do not consume the totem.
