About

Description

Elite Ores is a mod based around exploration, discovery, and utilization. It adds many ores to the game that will not only have varying uses, including basic ones such as armor and tools, but they will also encourage exploration. Some of these ores are extremely rare, and are only found in specific circumstances, so you will need to grab that pickaxe and start mining! (Potential other ways to obtain these ores are also in the works)

The full release of Elite Ores 1.0 is out now for 1.21.1, 1.21.8, and 26.1.2!

This mod is now content-complete in my eyes. I will continue to update to newer versions and fix bugs and balancing issues, but new content will be very rare, if it happens at all.

I would highly recommend using Just Enough Items (JEI) if you plan to use this mod, that way you do not have to remember all the recipes.

Specific information for each ore:

Ruby Ore: The most common ore in the mod, is often a great stepping stone between iron and diamond.
Rarity: Fairly common, generates below y-45.

Sapphire Ore: Similar to Ruby, although slightly better in most ways.
Rarity: Somewhat common, generates below y-40.

Kyanite Ore: Similar to Sapphire, although slightly better in most ways.
Rarity: Uncommon, generates below y-30.

Titanium Ore: A very versatile ore, can be used for armor and tools, but is better utilized elsewhere.
Rarity: Uncommon, generates below y-30.

Platinum Ore: Much rarer than Titanium, but has more specialized uses in certain crafting recipes.
Rarity: Very rare, generates below y-20.

Aquamarine Ore: A very similar ore to diamond, although usually slightly worse.
Rarity: Fairly rare, generates below y-40.

Jade Ore: Similar strength to Aquamarine and Kyanite, but has MUCH higher durability.
Rarity: Fairly rare, generates below y-20.

Onyx Ore: A very similar ore to diamond, although usually slightly better.
Rarity: Fairly rare, generates below y-0.

Ambrosia Ore: The next step after diamond, very important to progress to in most cases.
Rarity: Very rare, generates below y--16.

Azure Ore: The next step after Ambrosia. Requires Ambrosia or better to mine.
Rarity: Extremely rare, generates below y--32.

Citrine Ore: Similar to Ambrosia in strength, but much less durable.
Rarity: Uncommon, generates below y--30.

Topaz Ore: A seemingly useless ore.
Rarity: Uncommon, generates between y-32 and y--60.

Illuminum Ore: A bright ore used for decoration purposes.
Rarity: Somewhat common, generates below y-0.

Newtonium Ore: An unstable ore, can be used as a fuel source.
Rarity: Rare, generates below y-0.

Uranium Ore: An unstable ore, used to create the Nuke.
Rarity: Very rare, generates below y-0.

Plutonium Ore: An unstable ore, used to create the Extreme Nuke.
Rarity: Extremely rare, generates below y-0.

Garnet Ore: A very specialized ore, can be very useful but is not often seen.
Rarity: Rare, generates between y-0 and y-45, ONLY generates in some hill biomes and under large bodies of water.

Magmite Ore: A nether-based ore, similar to Ambrosia.
Rarity: Somewhat common, generates below y-64, ONLY generates in the nether.

Bleedium Ore: A fiery ore that is similar to Azure, although usually slightly worse.
Rarity: Very rare, generates below y-45, ONLY generates in the nether.

Enderium Ore: A mysterious ore that is more versatile, but slightly weaker than Azure.
Rarity: Fairly rare, generates below y-64, ONLY generates in the end.

Solarium Ore: A mysterious ore that almost nobody has seen.
Rarity: Extremely rare, generates between y-0 and y-64, can sometimes be found in desert biomes or the end.

Lazulite Ore: An extremely unique ore, often referred to as the Tsunami Ore. Extremely powerful stats, but has VERY low durability, so use it wisely.
Rarity: Beyond rare, ONLY generates in Beach biomes in the sand.

Serendibite Ore: An EXTREMELY durable ore, around the strength of diamond but with unseen levels of durability.
Rarity: Somewhat rare, generates below y--59, only found at the bedrock layer.

Pearl Ore: There are no documented reports of this ore being seen, only verbal sightings, so there is no mention of what this actually does.
Rarity: Unknown, it has been rumored to generate high in the sky.

Rainbonite Ore: An incredibly powerful ore that very few people have seen. Requires Azure or better to mine.
Rarity: Beyond rare, generates below y--45.

Mithril Ore: The strongest ore that anyone has ever seen. Requires Rainbonite or better to mine.
Rarity: Beyond rare, generates below y--50.

  • Charges!
Charges! A new item category called charges, these are variants of the fire charge that can do various effects depending on which ore you use. There are even some for various vanilla ores. (Hint, the Topaz Charge is basically a lucky block!)
  • Synthetic Gems!
Synthetic Gems! The new machine, the Crystallization Furnace, can be used to create synthetic gems, which are man-made ores that have more specialized, but still important uses.
  • New Biomes!
New Biomes! Throughout the world, you will find various new biomes to explore, and they each come with their own benefits, but be careful out there. There are a lot of cursed locations that are not very welcoming, including this biome, the Land of the Curse...
  • New Structures!
New Structures! You will find many new structures to explore as you navigate through your world, and they can be a great help, but often do not come for free...

The Legendary Staves! Throughout the world, there is a structure that contains a Staff Pedestal. Using the instructions provided in the structure, you can create a Staff, the most revered and legendary weapons out there...
  • Treasures to Be Found...
Treasures to Be Found... Some structures have hidden treasures within, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled... and maybe don't die in the process

Base? Another structure you may come across is one of the many "Base" structures. Nobody really knows who uses these as bases, but they contain the best loot of any structures, but often require the most preparation.

Radioactive Ores?! A few ores you may come across are radioactive (Don't worry, you are unaffected, at least for now!), and these can be used for some, lets just say, destructive purposes...
