Elytra Skins

Give your elytra any texture you want, picked from a menu in game.

Drop images into your .minecraft/elytraskins folder, press G, choose one. The change applies instantly. No restart, no resource pack, no relog.

Any image works. You don't need to make a UV map. Photos, logos, art, whatever the size or shape, it gets cropped and fitted to the wing automatically. Hand-authored 64x32 elytra textures are used exactly as they are.

Animated wings. Stack frames vertically in one PNG and they play in game. Name it [email protected] to set the speed.

Entirely client-side. Nothing is sent to the server and no item data is changed, so it works anywhere and nobody else needs to install it. Other players just see a normal elytra.

Two things worth knowing. Every elytra you see uses your chosen skin, including other players'. It's still invisible to them, but your client draws them all that way. And a cape overrides the wings texture, which is vanilla behaviour rather than a bug.

Requires Minecraft 1.21.11, Fabric API and Java 21. Mod Menu is optional. With it you get a config button, without it the keybind still works.
