📖🪄 Enchantical

47 handcrafted enchantments that feel like they were always part of the game.

Enchantical expands Minecraft's enchanting system with 43 new enchantments and 4 curses — covering every tool, weapon, and armor piece, plus the elytra, shields, shears, and fishing rods. Every enchantment plugs into the vanilla systems you already know: the enchanting table, anvils, treasure loot, villager trades, and mob-specific tags that automatically support modded mobs and crops (STILL IN BETA).

✨ Highlights

  • 🌲 Chop whole trees, mine whole veins, dig 3×3 — with build-protection so your house is safe
  • ⚔️ A full slayer arsenal — bonus damage lines for ender, nether, illager, sculk, and more
  • ❄️ Freeze, 💥 Exploding, ⛓️ Chaining — combat enchants with custom visuals, particles, and sound design
  • 🛡️ Shockwave shields, 🕊️ elytra thrusters, 🧲 Telekinesis looting
  • 💀 4 curses to spice up loot tables
  • 🤝 Enchantment Descriptions support — every enchantment shows an in-game description

🪓 Tools & Mining

Enchantment Tiers What it does
Timber I Break the base log and the whole tree falls — with a rising fell animation. Never breaks player-placed logs or builds. Works on crimson/warped trees.
Veinminer I Mine one ore, mine the entire vein. Works with Fortune, Silk Touch, and Smelting Touch; each extra block costs durability.
Smelting Touch I Blocks you mine come out pre-smelted, with smelting XP included. Compatible with Fortune, incompatible with Silk Touch.
Excavation I Mine in a 3×3 — only blocks your tool is meant for (no dirt-eating pickaxes). The area is outlined while you aim. Crouch to mine a single block. Incompatible with Veinminer.
Wisdom I–III +20% XP per level from blocks, mob kills, and fishing. Works on nearly every tool and weapon.
Telekinesis I Drops and XP go straight into your inventory and XP bar — mining, kills, fishing, shearing. Plays nice with every loot enchantment. Full inventory? Drops fall normally.

🌾 Farming

Enchantment Tiers What it does
Replenish I Harvested crops replant themselves from your inventory — wheat, nether wart, cocoa, and more.
Harvesting I–III Fortune, but for crops — reliable bonus drops from wheat, beetroot, carrots, potatoes, sugar cane columns, and modded crops (via tag).
Farmhand I Till or path a 3×3 with one click, with a live preview outline. Crouch for a single block.
Delicate I Your axe won't break melon/pumpkin stems. Sneak to override.
Farmer's Grace I Boots that never trample farmland.
Rainbow I Sheared sheep drop 1–3 randomly colored wool — any of the 16 dyes, every time.

⚔️ Swords & Melee

Enchantment Tiers What it does
Lifesteal I–III Each hit heals 1% of your max health per level. (Training dummies excluded — no free healing.)
Dexterity I–II +10% attack speed per level. Swords and axes.
Cleave I–III Hits splash 5%/level of damage to enemies within 2 blocks/level. Crouch to cleave passive mobs too. Pets are always safe.
First Strike I–IV +15% damage per level against targets at full health — reward the opening blow. Incompatible with Backstab.
Backstab I–III +16.66% damage per level when striking from behind (a clean +50% at III). Incompatible with First Strike.
Freeze ❄️ I–II Hits freeze mobs solid (powder-snow effect): 1❤/2s at I, 3❤/2s at II, plus 20%/40% slow, for 3s/6s. Custom icy body glint, snowflake particles, and freezing sounds. Fire and Freeze neutralize each other.
Exploding 💥 I–III Slain mobs detonate, dealing 10%/level of their max health to everything nearby. Bigger mob, bigger boom.
Corrosion I–II On weapons: grinds the target's armor durability (+1/+2 wear per hit). On armor: grinds the attacker's weapon when they hit you.
Chaining ⛓️ I–III 20% chance on hit to chain up to 3 mobs together for 1.5s/level — slowed 30% and physically bound within 3 blocks, with real rendered chains (fully 3D, diagonal across elevations) and rattling sound effects.

🗡️ Slayer Enchantments

Enchantment Targets
Ender Slayer Endermen, endermites, shulkers, the Ender Dragon — and modded ender mobs
Smoldering Blazes, ghasts, magma cubes, piglins, hoglins, striders — and modded nether mobs
Illager's Bane Pillagers, vindicators, evokers, witches, ravagers, traders — and modded illagers
Cubism Slimes, magma cubes, creepers, and golems
Sculk Smite The Warden and sculk-spawned mobs
Butchering Passive animals — including any modded animal, automatically

Illager's Bane, Cubism, and Butchering are mutually exclusive with each other and with Sharpness/Smite/Bane of Arthropods. Ender Slayer, Smoldering, and Sculk Smite stack with everything.

🏹 Ranged & Fishing

Enchantment Tiers What it does
Snipe I–IV Arrows deal +2.5%/level damage per 10 blocks flown. Reward the long shot.
Precision I–IV +6.25%/level headshot damage, with crit particles on a confirmed headshot. Incompatible with Snipe.
Aiming I Arrows home onto targets within 5 blocks. Incompatible with Infinity and Mending.
Ricochet I–III Arrows bounce off mobs to 1/2/3 nearby targets (30% each, 5/10/15 block reach). Extra arrows scatter forward. Hostiles only — crouch to include passives; pets are never hit.
Accelerate I–IV Thrown tridents fly +12.5% faster per level and hit +25% harder per level — double damage at IV. Incompatible with Riptide.
Spiked I–III Your bobber is a weapon: hooking a mob deals 1.5 / 2.5 / 4 damage.
Double-Hooked I–III 10/20/30% chance to double your catch — items and XP.

🛡️ Armor, Elytra & Shields

Enchantment Tiers What it does
Growth I–V +1 max health per level, per piece — up to +10 hearts with a full set.
Rejuvenate I–V Natural regeneration is 2.5% faster per level per piece — up to +50% with a full set.
Arcane Protection I–IV Protection-style reduction against magic damage (potions, evoker fangs, guardian beams). Exclusive with the Protection family.
Magma Walker I–II The Nether's Frost Walker: lava under your feet becomes basalt walkways that heat back through magma into lava behind you. Magma blocks can't hurt you.
Breathkeeper I–II 10%/level chance to shrug off drowning and suffocation damage.
Kinetic Protection I–IV Elytra: Protection-style reduction against flying into walls.
Propulsion I–III Elytra: firework boosts add an extra +1 block/tick launch kick per level.
Extension I Chestplate: +33% reach — place, break, and attack from farther away.
Shockwave I–II Shield: raising it blasts all mobs within 4 blocks up and away (no damage — pure crowd control). Stronger throw and shorter cooldown at II (30s → 15s). Respects knockback resistance. Custom sound + expanding ring.

💀 Curses

Curse Effect
Curse of Fragility The item only has two-thirds of its durability — it breaks early.
Curse of Hollowness The item grants zero XP — no mining XP, no kill XP, no fishing XP. Cancels Wisdom.
Curse of Permanence The item cannot be touched in an anvil — no repairs, renames, books, or combining. Ever.
Curse of Irreparability The item can never be repaired — anvil, crafting grid, and grindstone all refuse, and Mending silently does nothing.

⭐ = Treasure Enchantment — found in loot chests, fishing, and villager trades, not at the enchanting table.

🤝 Compatibility

  • Enchantment Descriptions — full support out of the box; every enchantment shows a tooltip description.
  • Modded content — slayers, Harvesting, and Lifesteal use entity/block tags (enchantical:*), so any datapack can add modded mobs, crops, or training dummies. Many enchantments (Butchering, Illager's Bane, Timber, Farmhand…) detect modded content automatically.
  • Vanilla-faithful — enchanting table power ranges, anvil rules, treasure distribution, and curse behavior all follow vanilla conventions.
