About
Description
The goal of Enchantments Rebalanced is to improve unbalanced enchantments and to change how some enchantments are obtained, from an experienced player's perspective.
This datapack needs plenty of constructive feedback, whether it's positive, mixed, or negative. Please join the Discord server and share your thoughts or suggestions!
Enchantments Rebalanced was made with the standpoint that some enchantments are imbalanced, and that most enchantments can be obtained too easily.
Don't expect your personal opinion to be validated and your own playstyle to be strengthened by Enchantments Rebalanced.
Summary
- Mending has been added to the Enchanting Table, and removed from librarian villagers
- Enchanting Table luck has been buffed
- Anvils are cheaper to craft and cheaper to enchant with
- Fletcher villager stick trade has been nerfed to make wood farms less effective
Changes
- Anvils are now 8 iron ingots cheaper (31 -> 23)
- All anvil costs for enchantments have been adjusted
- This, for the most part, makes lower tier enchantments add 1-2 levels, medium tier add 3-4, and high tier add 4-8 levels.
- Mending has been added to the Enchanting Table
- Greatly improved Enchanting Table enchantments
- Librarian villagers can no longer sell Mending
- Mending and Unbreaking are now mutually exclusive
- This change introduces a tradeoff between two choices:
- a) Equipment with infinite lifespan, at the expense of needing to go and repair more often
- b) Equipment that lasts longer before needing repair, but will eventually need to be replaced
- This change introduces a tradeoff between two choices:
- Fletcher villagers ask for double the amount of sticks when buying sticks from players
- This is to reduce the efficiency of wood farms for villager trading
