Description

Ender Compass Waystones

Ender Compass Waystones is a vanilla-friendly Minecraft mod that turns the ordinary Compass into a powerful tool for exploration, navigation, and teleportation—without bypassing the natural progression of the game.

At first, your compass helps you navigate between saved destinations. Once you obtain Ender Pearls, you unlock teleportation within the same dimension. Later, Chorus Fruit enables travel across dimensions.

There is no instant, overpowered teleportation: you must explore, gather resources, and progress through Minecraft to unlock the compass’s full potential.

Natural Progression

Compass Navigation

Register destinations and select one to make your compass point toward it.

Ender Pearl Teleportation

Once you gain access to Ender Pearls, you can teleport to saved destinations within your current dimension.

Chorus Fruit Teleportation

After obtaining Chorus Fruit, you can teleport between saved destinations across different dimensions.

Saved Destinations

Use Lodestones and named Banners to create and organize destinations throughout your world.

Each compass can store up to 8 destinations, making it easy to build a personal travel network without overwhelming the vanilla experience.

Charged Respawn Anchors can also be registered as destinations in the Nether.

Compass Durability

Teleportation comes at a cost.

Compasses have 128 durability and lose durability when registering destinations or teleporting. They also support the following vanilla enchantments:

  • Unbreaking
  • Mending
  • Curse of Vanishing

This keeps teleportation useful while ensuring that exploration and resource gathering remain meaningful.

Clone Your Destinations

Already have a compass filled with saved locations?

Combine a configured Compass with an empty Compass in a Smithing Table to copy its destinations. Create backups or share your travel network without having to register every location again.

Recovery Compass Integration

The Recovery Compass can inherit the capabilities of a configured Compass.

It retains the complete Ender Compass destination system while preserving its original ability to track your last death location. Your last death becomes part of your navigation network instead of being replaced by the mod.

A Vanilla-Friendly Approach to Teleportation

Ender Compass is designed to feel like a natural extension of Minecraft exploration.

You still need to discover each location, obtain Ender Pearls, reach Chorus Fruit, and manage your compass’s durability. The mod rewards exploration first and gradually turns the paths you have traveled into a convenient transportation network.

Explore first. Remember the path. Unlock teleportation naturally.
