Description
By default Minecraft's Phantoms are nothing but an annoyance. If you enjoy the game for too long without sleeping, you are constantly harassed by these flying nuisances. However, if you ever wish to kill them for their membranes, you have to wait 3 whole in-game days just to see one.
They used to always appear when unwanted, and never appear when wanted.
This mod changes phantoms so that they will spawn in the top 10% of the world height. Anyone who is not uncontested in a skybase or searching for membranes will never have to deal with these foes again! This change also allows phantoms to consistently attack otherwise mob-free skybases, while providing an easy and convenient way to fight them for their membranes each night.
Phantoms will have a respawn timer of just over 3 minutes (200 seconds exactly), in a 5x5 chunk area of where they spawn ensuring that they remain a constant threat for those high up during the night but leaving enough of a buffer that you can continue whatever you were doing.
This should be compatible with your favorite world height extension mods, however, you may have to travel further up to find Phantoms.
