About

Description

eddr_logo-png.png

This mod is a continuation of the Enhanced Deep Dark addon, which focuses on bringing new content to the Deep Dark, with a focus on the Ancient City and adding new uses to Echo Shards.

Important Note: This mod is still in its early stages of development, expect much more to be coming as time progresses.

If you do not want spoilers, then don't read any further! Everything is found within the Deep Dark as of right now, so you don't need to look anywhere else for this mod's features. Use the Advancements tab for hints!

New Additions:

----------------------------------------------------Blocks-----------------------------------------------------------------

Wardenstone:

-This is an uncommon black stone found embedded in stone near Ancient Cities. It is used for decoration, but the primary use is in crafting Echo Electronics.

Pressurized Deepstone:

-A common decorative blue stone found in the Deep Dark.

Dead Sculk:

-A variant of Sculk that breaks instantly and drops no experience.

Soul Magma Block:

-This is a more powerful version of Magma Blocks found in the Deep Dark and Ancient City. Lighting this block with fire creates Soul Fire.

Climbing Undergrowth:

-This is a common glowing plant found on the floor of the Deep Dark. You can walk through this plant.

Echo Wall Bush:

-A medium sized plant found growing on walls covered in Sculk.

Tendril Roots:

-A small plant found on ceilings covered in Sculk.

Echo Roots:

-These are medium sized hanging plants that provide a dim light to the entire Deep Dark biome.

Resonance Bell:

-A powerful block found in stategic places within the Ancient City. Ringing the bell will cause all nearby Wardens to dig, but be careful with it, as ringing the bell puts it on a cooldown!

Darkness Harbinger:

-These can be found occasionally on smaller ruins in the Ancient City. Players near them will randomly be inflicted with Darkness. Their primary use is in making higher tier Echo Electronics.

Echo Lamp:

-A variant of the Redstone Lamp. It is dimmer and requires a Sculk Sensor or Sculk Shrieker above it to be powered.

Echo Electronics:

-A large family of blocks that are used to transfer power to each other, resulting in unique interactions. Reverberating Reactors and Echo Sensors are used to power any circuit, with Resonance Chambers and Echo Glass carrying signals. Every other block is an output block, such as Soul Suckers that deal damage to entities when powered or Resonance Pulse Lamps that light up when powered. Broken versions of these blocks are found in Ancient Cities and can be repaired.

----------------------------------------------------Items------------------------------------------------------------------

Echo Dust:

-This is an important crafting ingredient, being used to make every Echo Electronic. It requires Echo Shards to craft.

--------------------------------------------------Ancient City-------------------------------------------------------------

The Ancient City recieves some pretty big overhauls with the addition of this mod.

-All normal Deepslate Bricks are replaced with Pressurized Deepstone Bricks

-All Polished Deepslate is replaced with Polished Pressurized Deepstone

-All Chiseled Deepslate is replaced with Chiseled Wardenstone

-Resonance Bells can be found in larger structrues and walls

-Wardenstone now generates near Ancient Cities

-Broken Echo Electronics can be found in the City's center

-Darkness Harbingers spawn in small ruins

-And most of the structures are now larger and some are more random
