Difficulty Multiplier Calculation
EntityScaleCore calculates the final difficulty multiplier for mobs using the following formula:
Final Multiplier = (1 + Distance Bonus + Day Bonus + Depth Bonus + Other Modifiers) × Area Multiplier
Distance Bonus
The difficulty increases based on the distance from the origin.
Distance = √(ΔX² + ΔY² × Y_WEIGHT + ΔZ²)
Distance Bonus = max(0, (Distance - Start Distance) / Blocks Per Level) × Bonus Per Level
Default settings:
Start Distance = 1000 blocks Blocks Per Level = 100 blocks Bonus Per Level = +0.1 Maximum Bonus = +10.0 Y_WEIGHT = 0.25
Day Bonus
The difficulty increases as the world progresses.
Days = Game Time ÷ 24000
Day Bonus = Days × Bonus Per Day
Default setting:
Bonus Per Day = +0.01
If the maximum bonus is enabled:
Day Bonus = min(Days × Bonus Per Day, Maximum Bonus)
Depth Bonus
The difficulty increases as the mob is located below the origin.
Depth = max(0, Origin Y - Current Y)
Depth Bonus = Depth × Bonus Per Block
Default settings:
Bonus Per Block = +0.01 Maximum Bonus = +2.0
Example
If:
Distance Bonus = 2.0 Day Bonus = 0.5 Depth Bonus = 0.3 Area Multiplier = 1.5
Then:
(1 + 2.0 + 0.5 + 0.3) × 1.5 = 3.8 × 1.5 = 5.7×
The mob's final difficulty multiplier is 5.7×.Calculation Formula
