About

Description

This mod contains 4 major things:

1. Emerald and Obsidian versions of traditional vanilla tools. These tools are crafted using emeralds or obsidian where the head-items usually go, and using diamonds where sticks usually go.

Emerald tools have half the durability of diamond, but have gold enchantability.

Obsidian tools have 1.5X the durability of diamond, but are between diamond and iron in terms of attack and mining speed, as well as have stone enchantability.

These durability values scale directly with configured diamond durability values for each tool type.

2. Adzes, a new tool type that combines shovels and axes into one convenient package. There is an adze for all vanilla materials, as well as the new emerald and obsidian tools. These tools use the average of shovel and axe durability values multiplied by 1.25 as their durability for the same material type. These are crafted with 2 sticks in the middle column, and a combination of  the axe-shape of materials and the pickaxe-shape of materials, or an L-shape rotated 90* to the right.

3. Vanilla tool durability configs: All wood, stone, iron, gold and diamond tools have been given a config option to change their durability. Setting a tool's durability number to negative or zero will make it unbreakable. These configs are wholly-individual, a diamond sword can be given a different durability than a diamond pickaxe, for example. These configs default to the traditional durability values.

4. Ender-Chest Tweaks: There are 3 config options that can affect ender-chests: The ability to craft chests can be turned on or off, the ability to open chests can be turned on or off, and finally, the ability to open chests provided the player has an ender-eye in their inventory can be turned on or off. If the last config is on, the ender-eye will be consumed each time the player opens the chest, so players should be careful where they click. All of these options default to false, which disables crafting and the ability to open ender-chests. These configs do not affect the player's ability to PLACE or MINE chests.

Please note, this mod is for a specifically-requested version of Forge: 1.8-11.14.3.1521. This is an unusual version, and this mod will likely not be ported to other versions, but certain features of this may may be.
