Description
Epic-TaCZ Compat FIX
A rebuilt distribution of Epic Fight × TacZ First-Person Compat by Ardelhite, addressing a broken jar in the original 1.20.1/Forge release (v0.5.0) that caused an immediate crash on game launch.
What this mod does
This is a client-side compatibility patch between Epic Fight and TACZ (Timeless and Classics Zero). Without it, loading Epic Fight and TACZ together breaks TACZ's first-person and third-person gun animations (reload, inspect, draw), because Epic Fight's combat mode renderer takes control of the player's arms before TACZ can run its own animations. This mod restores those animations so both mods' combat systems work correctly together.
What was actually fixed
The original v0.5.0 jar on CurseForge crashed on startup with a HumanoidModelMixin mixin failure (@Shadow field head was not located ... No refMap loaded). After reviewing the source code, the mixin logic itself was correct and unmodified — the issue was that the distributed jar's mixin refmap was missing or corrupted, likely from a packaging mistake in the original release build.
No Java/mixin source code was changed. This build was produced by recompiling the original, unmodified source from the 1201 branch of the author's repository, which correctly regenerates and packages a valid refmap. The only changes made were to build metadata (mod ID, name, and version, to distribute this fix separately from the original) and Gradle build settings (disabling parallel builds/caching to ensure a clean, reproducible compile).
Requirements
- Epic Fight
- TACZ
- Player Animator
