# Every Last Bite
Food in Minecraft is usually a single click. Here it's a meal.
You hold the plate in both hands, take a spoonful, a slice, a piece at a time, and the dish gets smaller as you eat. On the last bite you scrape the bowl clean. Other players see you holding your plate and lifting the food to your mouth.
## Eight kitchens, 450+ foods
Turkish, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian and Mexican cooking, plus home meals and a bakery. Menemen and İskender, pizza from the oven, ramen with chopsticks, tacos, butter chicken, dumplings from a bamboo steamer. Every dish is a real 3D model, served on the plate of its own kitchen.
## A proper kitchen
- **Cooking Pot** on a stove or campfire, with the broth taking the color of what's in it
- **Cutting Board**: look down at the board and cut the food stroke by stroke. Sneak and scroll to switch your knife between slices and dice
- **Oven, Tandoor, Wok, Bamboo Steamer, Skillet and Charcoal Grill**, each with its own recipes
- **Samovar and Cezve** for Turkish tea and coffee
- **Pickling Barrel** for pickles, olives and aged cheese
- **Butter Churn**, kaymak, comb honey and yogurt
- **Fridge**: food goes stale and spoils over time, but not in here
## Grow it yourself
New crops and fruit trees: tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, rice, tea, coffee, chickpeas, mango, olives and more. Find them wild, or in gardens hidden across the world: rice paddies in the jungle, olive groves on the savanna, bean fields in the badlands. Every fruit and vegetable can be sliced, diced, or roasted in a furnace or over a fire.
## Reasons to keep cooking
- Taste new dishes to earn extra hearts
- Eating the same thing over and over fills you less
- A Chef villager who trades recipes and meals
- A Service Counter where villagers order food and pay in emeralds
- Kitchen houses that appear in villages
## Easy to learn
The Cookbook explains every recipe step by step, from the field to the plate. JEI, EMI, Jade and AppleSkin are supported, but none of them are required.
**No other mods needed.** Forge 1.20.1. Works in singleplayer and on servers.
