Description
Exnergy's Sift Version
A shimmering new dimension for Minecraft Java 26.3, inspired by Minecraft Dungeons II.
Awaken a Warden, earn your way through the portal and step into the Sift. It's a strange and beautiful world of glowing red and teal grasslands, tall narrow white willows, red sandstone spires, bone deserts, frozen caves and soul-lit caverns, under skies full of magical creatures. Explore sixteen biomes and meet 66 creatures, from bouncy jelly bunnies to sky dragons you can ride. Find villages of the Sift's own people and storm an Illager stronghold. Survive the Soul Storms, and take on eight bosses in their own arenas.
---
🌌 Entering the Sift
Build a portal frame from Reinforced Deepslate and use an Echo Shard on it
A Warden awakens to guard the way. Defeat it and the portal opens (instant in Creative, and on Peaceful the Echo Shard opens it directly)
Inside the Sift, use an Echo Shard on a Soul Block to tear open a Rift home. It closes after 2 minutes
The Rift Compass points back to your arrival point. The Waystone Shard lets you choose where portals drop you
You arrive at the nearest Singer's Portal in Singer's Meadow, whose working Sift portal also takes you home
Teleports and `/locate` trips always set you down safely on the surface
🗺️ Biomes
Surface
Lullaby Hills: red ground crossed by winding green grass paths, orange sand hollows and red stone cliffs, under white willows and fireflies
Singer's Meadow: red sculk under tall blue grass, Ichor pools, red stone walls, pale-vined willows and a shallow chasm. Home of the Singer
Wild Meadows: wide, flat flowering plains dotted with willows
Ravines: deep canyons with caves and Frozen Souls glowing in the walls
Sifter Canyon: clusters of towering red spires and ancient Sifter ruins
Humbler Huskland: a bone desert with Bone Sand, gravel paths, craters, chasms, Ichor pools, Husk Slate mesas and giant titan bones
The Carapace: a cracked land of giant chitin plates and ribbed carapace domes with glowing plants inside
Wild Sporefields: forests of giant glowing sporecaps
Choral Glen: singing chime spires and crystals
Ichor Ponds: glowing rainbow Ichor pools with small islands
Willow Highlands: tall mountains covered in white willows
Ichorfrost Peaks: rare snowy peaks in a blizzard of glowing Ichor snow
The Silent Meridian: a super rare field of Nebula Grass around an ancient monolith
Underground
Glimmering Hollow: a lush cavern around a great glowing Ichor lake
Echo Den: sculk caverns of Echo Stone
Frozen Soul Caverns: icy caves of Soul Ice and Soul Icicles
Only hostile creatures spawn in the caves
Sky
Floating islands appear in many biomes. Some hold Sky Shrines, ruined sky camps or patches of Glowmelons
Three colored auroras drift across the sky day and night
No sun and no moon: the Sift has a sky of its own, bright teal on Flow, warm amber on Thrive and deep violet on Endure
🌿 Plants and Terrain
Red Coral, Broadleaf and Magenta Bloom grow across the meadows, hills and highlands
Wall Ferns and Wall Corals cling to cliff walls, and yellow plants grow rarely along path edges
Rare Green Urns are scattered across the land and drop emeralds when broken
White Willows are tall, narrow trees with a one-block trunk and a dripping canopy
Every pit has a Bounce Jelly on its floor, so you can bounce back out
🐾 Creatures
66 creatures that hunt, graze, pollinate, groom and migrate together in a living food web.
Gentle: Bubblebun, Mossnib, Ichorling, Puffleece, Lapjaw, Petalwing, Chimefly, Dunegrazer, Rockhopper, Sproutle, Sporeling, Frostling, Sift Goat, Snapjaw Bloom, Spireneck, Gloopling, Jellyhop and the Sift Villager
Sky: Wisplet, Moonmote, Lanternfin, Seraphin, Vespercloak, Phoenixling, Sigilray, Islebearer, Kirinling and Galeroc

Hostile: Sifterling, Sculk Prowler, Shardstalker, Gloomshade, Duneburrower, Sculk Crawler, Burstpuff, Spitgob, Gnasher, Gnashling, Shellback, Rimewalker, Shiverback, Splinterwing, Hexeye and Riftmaw
The Singer: a tall, shaggy, always-happy creature with antlers and a long neck whose song heals allies and calms Wardens
The Echo Golem: a stone golem carrying a glowing Soul Block on its head. Build one from Soul Blocks and a Carved Pumpkin, and it gathers Soul Blocks for you
The vanilla Sniffer and Allay are part of the Sift too
Many creatures have young and come in color and shape variants
Hostile and neutral Sift creatures attack Illagers on sight
🤝 Companions and Riding
Adopt 29 kinds of creatures with their favourite treat. They follow you, never despawn and fight for you when you are attacked
Ride adopted Kirinlings, Galerocs, the colossal Islebearer, Sigilrays, Dunegrazers, Sift Goats, Spirenecks, Lapjaws, Snapjaw Blooms and Puffleece. Ground mounts hop up blocks and the sky mounts fly where you look
The Jellyhop is a living trampoline
Use the Companion Whistle to call companions or tell them to stay, and the Soul Jar to carry your adopted companions anywhere
👑 Bosses and Arenas
Every boss lives in its own arena and leaves a reward chest with its signature item and a trophy when defeated.
Sculk Colossus in the Colossus Pit
Spire Titan in the Titan's Crown
Bloom Empress in the Empress Garden
Gnashmaw in the Gnashmaw Den
Splinterwing Queen in her floating nest
Supreme Evoker and Monstrous Opus beneath the Illager Stronghold
The Veilkeeper, who sleeps beside the monolith of the Silent Meridian
🏰 Structures
Sift Villages with houses, farms, a chapel, a workshop and a market. Their look changes with the biome
The Illager Stronghold: barracks, a Soul Forge and a vault and prison, joined by Soul Lifts
Singer's Portal, Sifter Ruins, Ruined Sift Portals, Illager Soul Excavations, the Meridian Monolith, titan bones and Hollow Humbler Husks
Every built structure can be found with `/locate structure`, and Sift cartographers sell explorer maps
⛈️ Soul Storms, Tides and Souls
A Soul Storm sweeps the Sift every 3 in-game days with waves of monsters, scaling XP and its own soundtrack
The Sift's day flows through three Tides: Flow, Thrive and Endure. Operators can switch them off
Full Peaceful and difficulty support: no hostile creatures, bosses, storms or tides in Peaceful, and Easy and Hard change how the Sift behaves
Collect up to 100 souls, heal with the Soul Mender and store them in a Soul Flask. Touching Ichor drains your souls before it burns you
🌾 Farming and Food
Grow Duskwheat, Glowroot, Glowmelons and Duskmelons on Sift Farmland watered by Ichor
Glimmerbees live in nests on trees and in hives, remember their own home and fill it with Glimmer Honey. Place a hive or nest anywhere, in any dimension, and it comes with bees
Ichor near fields makes crops and saplings grow faster
Sift bread, soups, stews, pies, Bloom Tea and the Ichor Elixir
⚔️ Gear and Items
Siftite and Resonant gear, which works with vanilla enchanting: a full Resonant set of sword, tools, spear, bow, crossbow and armor, and spears that jab, charge and lunge like vanilla ones
Four Sift enchantments and four charms
The Sift Chest, with double the storage of a normal chest
Throwables, the Petal Glider, Tide Clock, Rift Compass, Soul Flask and more
Bounce Jelly (bounces like slime), Titan Marrow (permanent extra hearts) and Gloop Jelly (swim through Ichor)
