What is Exotelcraft?
Exotelcraft is a large multi-feature mod for Minecraft that adds a new colorful dimension called Exotel, alongside content from April Fools' snapshots, features that were removed or changed in vanilla Minecraft, overworld additions, UI improvements, and much more. Hope you enjoy the mod!
The Exotel Dimension
The Exotel dimension uses a world generator from Beta 1.7.3, giving it a nostalgic feel. It is accessed through a portal frame built from Blackstone, ignited with the Exotel Portal Igniter - crafted from two Blaze Rods and one Netherite Scrap.

The dimension contains:
- 10 biomes: Blogre Plains, Blogre Forest, Redigre Savanna, Flonre Forest, Shadow Desert, Firsun Swamp, Stalk Plains, Alpha Land, Shadow Ocean, and Exotel Dripstone Caves.
- 5 unique wood types: Blogre, Redigre, Flonre, and Firsun. Each wood type comes with a complete set of blocks, including stairs, slabs, doors, trapdoors, fences, fence gates, ladders, signs, hanging signs, boats, chest boats, bookshelves, chiseled bookshelves, crafting tables, chests, trapped chests, and more.
- Blue Crystals: An amethyst-like crystal system that grows in the Exotel dimension, consisting of Blue Crystal Clusters, buds of varying sizes, a Budding Blue Crystal block, and a Blue Crystal Block.
- Stalk blocks: A sculk-like block system native to Stalk Plains, including the Stalk Catalyst, Stalk Sensor, Stalk Shrieker, and Stalk Vein.
- Dark Water: A water-like fluid inhabited by Exotel Cods. Any entity that is not a native Exotel entity will be given the Wither effect while touching it.
- Exotel Dripstone: Exotel-specific variants of dripstone blocks and pointed dripstone found in the Exotel Dripstone Caves biome.
- 8 entities: Flonre Cow, Exotel Cod, Poecilotheria Metallica (a spider), Dry Exotel Zombie, Frost Magma Cube, Piglin Statue Lives, Exotel Piglin, and Stalker.
- 6 structures: Blogre Plains Village, Exotel Piglins Stronghold, Exotel Ruined Portal, House of Bob, Shadow Desert Pyramid, and Tower Ruin.
- 1 boss: The Mutated Stalk Piglin, which drops the Stalk Heart (currently a decorative item) and the Exotel Piglin Bottle, which allows transformation into the Exotel Piglin entity.
- 3 material tiers:
- Opal - A common ore that generates in Blue Stone. Slightly better than Iron but weaker than Diamond.
- Ruby - An extremely rare ore that generates in Blimstone and is almost always covered by surrounding blocks, making exposed Ruby very uncommon. Significantly stronger than Netherite, but burns in fire.
- Upgraded Ruby - Ruby equipment upgraded at the Ruby Upgrading Table using a Ruby Upgrading Template (found in Exotel structures), a Ruby tool or armor piece, two Rubies, and one Netherite Ingot.
- Several advancements, including exploration goals for visiting all Exotel biomes.

Overworld Additions
Wild Cherry trees generate naturally in Plains, Sunflower Plains, Forests, and Flower Forests. Wild Cherry wood comes with a full block set like the other Exotelcraft wood types.
Abandoned Old Villages are rare overworld structures featuring the old 1.13.2 village structure. They spawn with 1.13.2 Zombie Villagers that can be cured into regular 1.13.2 Villagers, and feature mossy cobblestone, overgrown dirts patches, and farms with no crops.
April Fools' Snapshots Content
Toggleable April Fools' snapshot content can be enabled via game rules or the Exotelcraft options menu. Note that not all implementations are fully complete.
- 3D Shareware v1.34 - Retro graphics, sounds, barrel generation in the world, and colored key items (Red, Yellow, Blue) are currently implemented.
- 20w14∞ - Does not include the infinite dimensions feature or a dedicated game rule, but all blocks and items from this snapshot are available in the Creative menu.
- 23w13a_or_b (The Vote Update) - Many votes are still missing, but mob transformation, The Moon dimension, the voting system, and associated items and blocks are present.
- 24w14potato (Poisonous Potato Update) - Largely complete, with only minor things missing.
- 25w14craftmine (The Craftmine Update) - The most complete implementation.
- 26w14a (Herdcraft Update) - Work in Progress.
There are also dedicated game rules to improve the April Fools' experience:
exotelcraft:better_april_fools(enabled by default) - Fixes various April Fools' quirks and adds missing content, such as limiting the Pickaxe Block from breaking unbreakable blocks like Bedrock, and adding structures to 25w14craftmine that were absent in the original snapshot.exotelcraft:better_transformation(enabled by default) - Improves entity transformation by removing the hunger bar (and with it the ability to naturally heal) and applying the transformed entity's attributes, such as health and damage values.exotelcraft:enable_some_april_fools_for_vanilla(enabled by default) - Enables the Pickaxe Block, Place Block, and Copper Sink in normal gameplay outside of any April Fools' game rule.
In-Game Tools & Interface
Exotelcraft Hub is an in-game mod manager that allows downloading, updating, and viewing installed mods directly without leaving the game, powered by the Modrinth API. Note that the mod downloader and updater are only available in the Modrinth version of the mod due to CurseForge's moderation guidelines.
Bedrock Style UI (Ore UI) (enabled by default) - Replaces the standard Minecraft interface with a Bedrock Edition-styled UI. This can be toggled in the Exotelcraft options on the title screen.
Ender Map is a world map item crafted from eight Paper and one Eye of Ender in the center slot. Key features include:
- The map fills in as you explore, even when not held in the inventory.
- Markers can be placed manually on the map.
- The map can be exported to a PNG image.
- Opened by right-clicking with it in hand, or by pressing the bound key (default: M).
Additional title screen options include toggling the Exotel Panorama (replaces the default Minecraft panorama) in menus.
Education & Bedrock Edition Content
Content from the Education and Bedrock editions of Minecraft is included for Creative Mode only. This covers all 118 chemical elements and various chemical compounds (such as Ammonia, Bleach, Glue, Hydrogen Peroxide, Soap, Salt, and more).
Compatibility
This mod modifies a significant amount of Minecraft's internal code through Mixins, which may cause incompatibilities with certain other mods or prevent some of their features from working correctly.
There is also more content, but these are the most significant ones. Also please note that only the latest version of Minecraft is supported, and support for older versions is discontinued almost all of the time, except for 26.1.x, which is currently LTS.
