🎣 Fishing Rod Enchantments
Fishing used to be the one activity the mod never touched. Now the rod has five enchantments of its own — one of them dangerous.
🐙 Strong Fish I–III
Sometimes something hostile takes the bait instead of your catch. It gets dragged ashore and it wants a fight.
- Kill it and you get the lost catch back twice over — the enchantment is a trade, not a punishment
- Level I: 8% chance, drowned
- Level II: 12% chance, drowned or guardian
- Level III: 16% chance, and every fifth one is an elder guardian
- Only triggers while open water fishing
🐟 Shoal I–III
Reel in several fish at once.
- Level I: 60% chance for one extra fish
- Level II: up to two extra fish (60% / 40%)
- Level III: up to three extra fish (60% / 40% / 25%)
Extra catches are drawn from the fish pool only, so Shoal stacks with Luck of the Sea instead of devaluing it.
📖 Blessed Catch I–II
Any enchantable gear you fish up comes out of the water already enchanted.
- Level I: enchants at level 15
- Level II: enchants at level 30
- The enchantment pool includes Expanded Enchantments, so you can fish up Vein Miner, Reaper or Autosmelt books
🔱 Harpoon I–III
Turns the fishing rod into a weapon. The hook wounds whatever it hits and reels it in far harder.
- Level I: 2 damage
- Level II: 3 damage
- Level III: 4 damage
- Halved against players, so the rod never becomes a better bow
- Pairs naturally with Strong Fish — useful when you have just pulled a guardian onto the beach
🪄 Enchantments
🩸 Vampirismus I–V
Gives your weapon a chance to steal health from enemies. Each level increases the chance to drain health from the target and heal yourself.
⚔️ Attacker I–III
Increases attack speed on swords, axes, tridents, maces and spears, allowing weapons to recharge faster between attacks.
- Level I: +5% attack speed
- Level II: +10% attack speed
- Level III: +15% attack speed
Stacks with Swift Strike for up to +30% attack speed on a single weapon.
⚔️ Swift Strike I–III
A second, rarer attack speed enchantment for the same weapon types.
- Level I: +5% attack speed
- Level II: +10% attack speed
- Level III: +15% attack speed
Stacks with Attacker — combine both for the fastest possible weapon.
🏃 Runner I–III
Increases movement speed when applied to boots.
- Level I: +5% movement speed
- Level II: +10% movement speed
- Level III: +15% movement speed
Stacks with Agility for up to +30% movement speed.
👟 Agility I–III
A second, rarer movement speed enchantment for boots.
- Level I: +5% movement speed
- Level II: +10% movement speed
- Level III: +15% movement speed
Stacks with Runner — combine both on one pair of boots.
🏹 Arrow Storm I–III
A bow and crossbow enchantment that has a chance to fire additional projectiles.
- Level I: 10% chance, +1 projectile
- Level II: 15% chance, +2 projectiles
- Level III: 25% chance, +3 projectiles
Extra projectiles are temporary and are designed to avoid arrow duplication issues.
🌙 Night Hunter I–III
Increases damage against monsters during the night.
- Level I: +10% night damage
- Level II: +20% night damage
- Level III: +30% night damage
👼 Guardian Angel I
Gives the player a chance to survive otherwise fatal damage.
- 20% chance to prevent death
- Sets the player to low health instead of dying
- Grants temporary defensive effects
- Includes a cooldown for balance
- Guaranteed drop from the Ender Dragon 🐉
❤️ Tanker I–IV
Adds extra maximum health when applied to armor. The bonus hearts are visible in the health bar.
🪨 Stone Skin I–III
Adds additional defensive protection to armor, helping reduce incoming damage.
🛡️ Stronger I–V
A shield enchantment that can knock back attackers when blocking axe attacks.
💥 Heavy Impact I–III
A heavy weapon enchantment for axes and maces. Attacks have a chance to knock enemies back and slow them for a short time.
- Level I: 10% chance
- Level II: 15% chance
- Level III: 25% chance
📚 Reaper I–III
Gives weapon attacks a chance to reward bonus experience when killing monsters.
- Level I: 15% chance
- Level II: 25% chance
- Level III: 35% chance
🛡️ Last Stand I–III
When your health drops low, Last Stand grants temporary Resistance to help you survive dangerous moments.
Includes cooldown balancing so the effect cannot trigger constantly.
👟 Sprinter I–III
Increases movement speed while jumping when applied to boots.
🦘 Jumper I–II
Increases jump height when applied to boots.
🧲 Magnetic I–III
Pulls nearby items and experience orbs toward the player.
- Level I: 3 block radius
- Level II: 5 block radius
- Level III: 7 block radius
⛏️ Vein Miner I
Mine entire ore veins by breaking just one ore block.
- Works together with Fortune
- Compatible with Autosmelt
- Normal ore and deepslate ore variants are grouped together
🔥 Autosmelt
Automatically smelts certain mining drops while preserving normal drop behavior.
Designed to work with Fortune and other mining-related mechanics.
- Raw Iron → Iron Ingot
- Raw Gold → Gold Ingot
- Raw Copper → Copper Ingot
- Ancient Debris → Netherite Scrap
Available from the enchanting table, librarian trades and chest loot — and as a guaranteed drop from the Wither 💀. Cannot be combined with Silk Touch.
🌲 Forrester I
Fell entire natural trees with one axe.
- Designed to cut down real trees, not player-made wooden structures
- Checks for nearby leaves to identify natural trees
- Player-placed logs are tracked and excluded
🧠 Wisdom I–V
Increases the amount of experience gained from collected XP orbs. Can only be applied to helmets.
🪽 Winging
Automatically activates your Elytra after falling a configurable distance.
🛡️ Strong Wings I–III
Adds protection-like defensive power to Elytra.
Guaranteed drop from the Ender Dragon 🐉.
🌍 Deeply Rooted I–III
Reduces knockback taken by the player when applied to boots.
⚡ Shocker I–III
A mace enchantment that can shock nearby entities, heavily slowing them for a short time and creating electric visual effects.
☠️ Poisoning I–II
A spear enchantment that gives attacks a chance to poison the target.
💡 Glowing I
Turns the player into a moving light source when applied to a helmet.
- Lights up the area around you like a torch
- Does not prevent monster spawns
- Does not despawn or remove existing monsters
🐉 Boss Drops
Three enchantments are rare treasures that never appear at the enchanting table. Instead of leaving them to pure luck, each has a boss you can actually work toward:
- 💀 The Wither additionally drops an Autosmelt book
- 🐉 The Ender Dragon additionally drops a Strong Wings book and a Guardian Angel book
Books drop at level I — combine two on an anvil the vanilla way to raise them. The extra loot is added to the boss loot table, so the Nether Star, the dragon egg and anything other mods contribute all stay untouched.
💀 Curses
🪢 Curse of the Frayed Line
A fishing rod curse. Every fifth catch tears loose and drifts away on the water instead of flying to you — usually still reachable, sometimes not.
- 20% chance to lose the catch
- Your rod also wears out twice as fast
🛡️ Curse of Permeability
A shield curse that causes every fourth blocked hit to pass through your shield.
👹 Curse of the Horde
Monsters detect and focus you from a much larger range.
Great for tank builds — but also much more dangerous if you are not prepared.
🔁 Curse of Respawn I–III
When killing a monster, there is a chance that the monster respawns nearby.
- Level I: 25% chance to respawn 1 monster
- Level II: 30% chance to respawn 2 monsters
- Level III: 40% chance to respawn 3–5 monsters
Excluded mobs: Warden, Wither and Ender Dragon.
Named mobs: disabled by default, configurable in the server config.
Mobs spawned by this curse cannot trigger another Respawn Curse chain.
😱 Curse of Scream
Randomly plays scary scream and door-lock sounds while equipped. Custom sounds can be added through the mod assets.
🌊 Curse of Sinking
A boot curse that makes it extremely difficult to surface while underwater.
🏹 Curse of Burning Arrow
A bow and crossbow curse that makes burning arrows ignite wood when they hit it.
Use with caution near forests, wooden buildings or storage areas.
🍖 Curse of Exhaustion
A curse that makes movement and sprinting more dangerous by applying exhaustion-related effects while equipped.
⚙️ Configuration
Expanded Enchantments includes configuration options for both players and server owners.
🖥️ Server Config
Server owners can enable or disable individual enchantments and curses. By default, all enchantments and curses are enabled.
config/expanded_enchantments.json
The server config includes options such as:
- Enable or disable individual enchantments and curses
- Allow or block named mobs from respawning through Curse of Respawn
- Configure Vein Miner limits
- Configure Forrester limits
- Control special features like anvil cost behavior
💻 Client / Local Config
The Winging fall distance can be adjusted through the local config.
config/expanded_enchantments_client.json
🔨 Anvil Config
Expanded Enchantments can remove the vanilla “Too Expensive” anvil limit.
- Default maximum level cost: 30

- Singleplayer: uses the local/integrated world config
This makes advanced gear progression much smoother while still keeping it configurable.
