👻 Expanded Phantoms

Adds seven vanilla-style phantom variants, each with unique behaviors that make sleepless nights far more dangerous — plus one rideable friendly phantom.

📖 Overview

Expanded Phantoms breathes new life into vanilla's most notorious sleepless-night monster. Seven new phantom variants spawn naturally alongside the original, each with a distinct combat identity — from a potion-lobbing Witch Phantom to a fully rideable Happy Phantom. Every variant is designed to feel like it could belong in vanilla Minecraft.

🦇 Variants

🪝 Snatcher Phantom

Swoops down and grabs the player, lifting them into the air and holding them aloft for several seconds before releasing. Cannot grab again immediately — there's a cooldown after each snatch. Players must have open sky above them to be grabbed.

🧙 Witch Phantom

Hovers at range and drops splash potions from above. The potion it throws depends on the situation:

• Poison — when the player is at high health
• Weakness — when the phantom is close
• Slowness — when the phantom is at distance
• Magic damage — rare direct hit

💥 Exploding Phantom

A kamikaze phantom that detonates on contact with its target. The explosion deals no block damage, but the phantom itself is destroyed in the process. Fast and dangerous at close range.

🌀 Ender Phantom

Inspired by the Enderman — this phantom only attacks when looked at directly. Looking at it triggers a stare sound and locks it onto the player. It teleports periodically around its target, making it hard to track. Higher health than a standard phantom.

💀 Wither Phantom

A tougher, darker phantom that inflicts the Wither effect on every successful hit. Higher health pool makes it a sustained threat throughout the encounter.

🔥 Blaze Phantom

Trails flame particles as it flies and launches small fireballs at targets from range. Keeps its distance and fires at regular intervals, punishing players who don't close the gap quickly.

😊 Happy Phantom (Friendly)

The odd one out — a neutral, rideable phantom that won't attack. It's attracted to snowballs, which can be used to lure it. Right-click to mount and fly, controlling it freely through the sky.
