Expansive Lighting
Between the addition of a lamp whose output light is the same as the Redstone signal put into it, colored torches, and much more (eventually:tm:) you have many more ways to light your base and look snazzy too!

Colored Torches Dye your torches! Thankfully, there don't seem to be any bad effects from burning dye at least! -
