About
Expected is a modification for Minecraft focused on the selective reworking of various game mechanics. The goal is to improve balance, increase difficulty, and update forgotten or overly powerful features. The mod carefully preserves the vanilla atmosphere while introducing systematic and logical changes—especially regarding elytra usage, mending, anvils, and brewing.
Changes to Elytra Mechanics
- **Disabling Mending Enchantment on Elytra
**Video clip

Elytra can no longer be enchanted with Mending. This prevents their unlimited use and reinforces the value of the resource. - Cooldown for Firework Use During Flight
Video clip

When using a firework while flying with elytra, the player must wait before using it again. This limitation encourages more deliberate and mindful movement. - Reduced Elytra Durability
Video clip

The base durability of elytra has been decreased from 432 to 312 points, prompting users to be more cautious and strategic in their use. - **New Enchantment for Elytra
**Video clip

A unique enchantment has been added that reduces the cooldown between firework uses. This enchantment is exclusive and can only be found in End structures—specifically in End Cities.
Changes to Mending Mechanics
- Durability Loss During Mending via Anvil
Video clip

When using an anvil to apply the Mending enchantment, the item loses 50% of its maximum durability. This change makes the decision to repair more significant and diminishes the previously overpowered effect of this enchantment. - Modified Anvil Repair Principle
Video clip

The maximum repair cost for any item via the anvil is now capped at 25 levels.
New Potions
- Gravity Potion
Video clip

Brewed by adding a Wither Skeleton’s bone to a Potion of Leaping in a brewing stand—effectively inverting its effect. Effect: Complete immunity to knockback and suppression of the Levitation effect. - Levitation Potion
Video clip

Created through the standard brewing system using a Shulker Shell fragment. This potion grants the player levitation, allowing them to overcome obstacles, take flight, and cross deep chasms. Its combination with the Gravity Potion is especially useful when traveling in the End. - Chorus Potion
Video clip

Prepared from roasted chorus. When the player takes damage, they are teleported a short distance, mimicking the effect of a Chorus Fruit. This potion can be lifesaving in dangerous situations or help in avoiding encirclement.
